When two of your best players were free transfers that were respectively 29 and 32 years old when you got them, you know it's going to hurt when they leave/quit, because you'll get 0 in return.

Well yes obviously we'll have to give Bayern cash for Götze in exchange for Coman, because he is worth more We didn't give them Vidal for free.

At the beginning to the Mercato Vidal, Marchisio and Pogba were our 3 starting CMs and we bring in Khedira for Pirlo and rotation and hope to add an AM.

Vidal "all of the sudden" asks to be sold so Khedira takes his starting spot.

Doesn't that make us one CM short (the covering role Khedira was to take) even if we get an AM?

Or was Khedira brought in to be a starter from the very beginning as Marotta had always planned to sell Vidal?

Well.. Yes. I'm not sure what you mean. They already paid us for Vidal. And Götze is worth more than Coman.
