there was nothing wrong with the barcelona offer, we took a few hours to consider it and have decided that it wasnt good enough. On the basis of it, there is nothing "wrong" with any offer, but obviously there is a threshold if crossed there is a good chance you will anger the other party thus souring the relations and the possibility of getting favors with said party at a future time. Also i fail to see whats unprofessional with their answer, if anything it is very effective and time saving, they are basically telling us if you are starting this low dont bother wasting our respective times with these negotiations because it isnt going anywhere. This whole 'respectable' business is jokes.

I dont know why but all the above seems pretty straightforward to me

The Benataia rumors must be BS. We aren't going to spend 20+ million on a CB, when an AM is far more of a priority. We still have Bonucci, Rugani, and Caceres fpr the CB slot while Chiello and Barza are injured. They are both out for only 3 weeks anyway, so they will be good to go once the season commences.

I disagree Bro. We need an AM. I'd rather not spend that money on a CB. I have a feeling Draxler will be awesome for us. Fuck Cuadrado and Saponara. On another note, I dreamt that we went back in for Gotze, and convinved him to join us :D

i want to believe you but most people who watch him regularly are not sold on him, plus we already spent a little over 30 mil on potential(aint counting zaza) we need some concrete talent in the first 11.

I'm not really sold on Draxler. 20 + 5 at most for him. If Schalke remains irredutible till the end of the window, so be it.

Honestly I'd rather take his 20M and buy an offensive LB, preferably Alex Sandro. And stay put for now, unless that kid from Ajax for example is good and we can pay around 10M for him.

We just lost Vidal and Khedira is not his replacement, he's a completely different kind of player. We need to replace Vidal. Get a LB, deploy Asamoah permanently at the mid, where he is good enought to be a starter and has potential to be world class.

Also chances we sell Pogba after next Euro are huge IMO. Next summer it'll be 3 yrs left to the end of the contract, if there's a chance he stays, he'd demand crazy money.

So with 80M+ from his sale (wouldn't be surprised if he was sold for 50M if he says he wants to go to club X), we splash EVERYTHING on the best available AM.

And bring Berardi back.

Dude, its better to expect something like that than to be disappointed, look at Vidal, the best b2b in the world right now, and we got him for less than Sterling, Luiz, Benteke,Kondogbia, etc. So, 50 Million is not what i would want, but seeing as how we usually play in regards to selling,i would put my expectations low and would rather be suprised happily then to feel again how i felt with Vidal..

Lets get Kurzawa and Cazorla if we cant get Gotze/Isco type of class AM..

Why do people keep insisting on Vidal2.0? We are a different team without having to shield Pirlo, that being said we are lacking his creativity (along with Tevez but Dybala can ease the pain there). I think Pereyra and Khedira can fill in well enough for the open CM spot and Pogba will continue his rise and have more influence on our team.

Vidal never got half the hype of Pogba. Nor did he have that flare and fancy that attracts big figures at the negotiating table. Besides, Vidal is 28, came off a bad injury and an average season. 40M didn't surprise me. To add, I think there was some kind of special agreement between Juve and Bayern.

Even if Pogba doesn't play like a top 3 midfielder this season, there's still his age to consider. Up to a certain age, he still has potential. That could be up to 24, 25 years old. If Juve don't reach an agreement to sell Pogba for an exorbitant amount of money to a particular team who broke the bank (big time) on inferior players before, then are bidding war will certainly ensue and the fee is going to be even higher. I expect Pogba's transfer to break records if not for European football generally, then for Juve.

Agreed. With a new AM and Khedira the overall balance of the side stays the same. We're just moving our most creative player higher up the pitch.

Pogba, Dybala, Berardi - all can, this is right time for pogba to turn from CM to AM and if he will succed then his price will be 100-120m easily and 4312 is not panacea, we are not milan where Sylvio asked to play 4312 only
I don't like at all the idea of Pogba playing like an AM. He said that his prepare for a more offensive role, nothing more.

Compare Zaza with Draxler is like pushing the bar too much. Draxler healthy should be the 10 in german squad. Maybe compare Berardi with Draxler is a more balance match

I'm 100% agree with the first part of yours post. But I don't think Pereyra should be a starter in our team. Khedira level is very difficult to predict and I don't trust completely in our others options: Asamoah (get injured a lot + I'd rather when we use like Licht), Padoin (a good player for the bench) and Sturaro. I'd rather another option for Pereyra and another for the rest of our midfield

He is a solid option, but I believe he lacks the temperament and veritable quality to be a starting option and true WC option for us. He is too inconsistent and loses his cool too often for my liking. I just don't see him becoming World Class, which doesn't mean I don't think he will be a very good player.

I disagree. Pogba has all the qualities to be an outstanding AM. The fact Allegri kept playing Vidal as the AM and Pogba as a CM bothered the hell out of me all season, its clear Pogba would be so much more dangerous further up field. Vidal should have been on the left, since he played LB so LCM was perfect for him and is clearly better defensively than Pogba. Don't get me wrong, Pogba is good defensively but much better with possession and in the final third that is where we had problems last season. I wouldn't be very disappointed if Juve just bought a LB and held out for a super good deal or ended the mercato.

Buffon
Lichsteiner-Bonucci-Chiellini-Evra (New LB)
Marchisio-Khedira-Asamoah (Sturaro)
Pogba (Pereyra)
Dybala-Morata (Mandzukic)

This formation above is decent but the team lacks depth in the midfield with Pogba as CAM. As such Juve should be searching for a CM in the case we're screwed on the CAM front.

We need a CAM unless Pogba is world class in the position. Vidal was a world class CM and playing him as CAM was a waste of his talents. Pogba is a world class CM and might be a very good CAM who knows but Id rather keep him where he is already growing and flourishing and add a world class CAM.

Is Mata on united's bench? or do you think he will start?
