I do, i just hate that you mentionned mazda in a bad way when its actually oppposite.

Mertens is a player i'd love to have on my bench. But he can never be a starter.
I didn't mention it in a bad way. Mertens is a good player. But he's not Hazard. Mazdas are good cars, but they are not Ferraris. If you buy a Ferrari no one is going to say you bought a shit car. If you buy a Mazda, opinions are more divided, but the Mazda might prove very useful.

Juventus turn to Astori
By Football Italia staff

Juventus are turning to Napoli and Fiorentina target Davide Astori after injuries to both Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli.

Both defenders have been ruled out for three weeks by muscular injuries, so will miss the Italian Super Cup against Lazio on August 8.

According to Tuttosport and Calciomercato.com, the Bianconeri are seeking reinforcements on the transfer market and turned to Astori.

The Italy international spent last season on loan at Roma and is back training with Cagliari after his move to Napoli sensationally collapsed.

It had been on the verge of completion for weeks until the talks fell apart over his existing sponsorship deal with Puma.

Astori has also been linked with Fiorentina, but Juventus are now interested in the 28-year-old.

A proposal worth €5m plus bonuses is reportedly on the table.

Yeah and thats exactly where i'm going to be at.

Mazda is known to be very reliable and exceptional value for money, and its sportcars got a cult following and they have arguably the most popular le mans winning car in history.

Ferrari was "shit" in reliability for endurance racing, so they dont bother with it. Their sportcars have ever been considered to "break down an awfull lot" historically, mostly beeing plagued by electrical issues. Modern ferrari's hide this problem by forcing you to service it every few thousand miles, wich will cost ALOT cause they just replace a whole lot.

Mertens is a 1986 BMW F1 with qualifying settings. A car that could manage about 3-6 laps before the turbo breaks down and the tires are gone.

Hazard is a 1989 Sauber C9. Its even faster, but it could actually last 24h

Would you prefer your RX8 over a 458 Italia?

( Sorry for the off-topic, but Zach being offended and pretending not to understand the point Seven is making is just too funny )

Just a thought:

Maybe its a blessing we haven't splurged on an AM yet with two CB's injured already. Looks like we need a new LB and probably a CB at this point. 2 defenders.

Tricky situation. Maybe Dybala can make that AM role his own?
Seriously Hust...Its not a blessing, we have 5 CBs, not a SINGLE AM, only half a one in Pereyra.

RX-8 costs around 25,000 and has 190/230 horsepower, originates from 2004.
The 458 costs 245,000 and has 570 horsepower, originates from 2009.

Thats a bad comparison.

If i could spend 245,000 euro on a car, i wouldnt buy a ferrari.

If Mazda made a 550-600hp sportscar with double or quattro rotor engine and i could afford it, i would want it over the 458

Well, 3 at that moment that are fit. If you go by how often Caceres is injured I wouldn't say we are in great shape. We need a healthy backline before we need a new AM when what we have in attack can get us through the season. Going to be hard playing Rugani & Bonucci every game, isn't it?

Injuries happen, you deal with it, if you have 5 CBs, its not an emergency, its just bad timing if alot of them get injured the same time. But we are already weakened in midfield without Vidal, lacking a creative outlet in an AM too is A HUGE CONCERN. There is no way CBs is a bigger one, not even close. Ok if you said LB/RB, but even then, AM need is more urgent.

I did say LB. I said either a LB & CB or a LB & AM.

We will get an LB, mainly because Kwadwo is our biggiest worry injury wise. But you trying to excuse why we shouldnt get AM now that we are looking less likely to get our choice. There is no way its a blessing that we dont get AM just because there's few injuries in defence. We have 9 defenders, and barely 1 AM. Thats the tricky sitaution, not getting niggling injuries in defense department, thats part of the reality of the game and you deal with it with the options you have in the club.

I'm not trying to excuse anything there big guy. What I'm saying is if our defenders continue dropping like flies and we splurge on that AM we won't be able to support our defense with anyone notable. All I'm saying is, part of the game is exactly what you said, injuries and getting passed those periods but our defense isn't the most reassuring when it comes to recovering from injuries.

And over 2 years you can't even call the injury issues in defense as "few". No way.

Rugani: good
Bonucci: good
Chiellini: 20 days
Barzagli: 20 days
Caceres: gaining match fitness from an injured season
Asamoah: training on his own trying to get fit after an injured season
Licht: Good
Padoin: Good
Evra: Good

Maybe you are right but honestly if Caceres goes down then we are in serious trouble because our outside backs can't play CB. :D

He's always injured when he's actually needed. We should sell him.
