Untill that wrenched career effecting injury in november 1998, Del Piero was a better player then Baggio.
When taking in regard the full career of both players, Baggio was better.

The way 2 injuries effected the careers of Ronaldo and Del Piero is still the worst thing to happen to football in its entire existence
It's worth keeping in mind Baggio should have retired at 18, the injuries he sustained at Vicenza were devastating and doctors felt he would never make it to the top of the game. In his own words ''everything I achieved I did with one good leg.''

By his own admission he was only ever 100% fit for 3 or 4 games per season. You think how good he could have been and it's scary.

Injuries are part of how good you are though. Ronaldo and Messi are talented, but are also incredibly well built. Especially Ronaldo who looks like he was designed by sports scientists.

There is no need to ridicul the statement. Baggio's game has been the same troughout his career, only slowed down to natural decay later on.

Del Piero in his first 4 seasons, was a different player from afterwards. Betwee 95 and 98, italy forgot about Baggio.

2 Massive injuries and equally years later, a different del piero emerged. Wich never would be as influental on his national team as baggio. He did however not miss when it really counted.

Are you saying that GdS deliberately link us to more high profile players when we are clearly looking at others so fans then get disappointed, and, in the case of Tuz, they then calculate that we have signed our 9th choice option?

We have to pay more than Napoli because we are a significantly richer club, not because of negotiation skills, and even Napoli paid a fortune for Higuain. Tevez, Vidal, Barzagli, Lichtsteiner etc all arrived at very reasonable prices, indicating that we aren't notorious overpayers.

This isn't a street bazaar where you haggle over a few euros up and down. If the selling club has no reason to sell, they don't have to. If there is conpetition for a player, price inevitably goes up.

Name me one club with a great negotiator whobregularly find bargains. Most football fans in general would probably answer Juventus.
I wonder how selling Vidal falls in with this analysis.
