Most of the times we have sold a super star, was when he was 28 or ooder and we havebalready signed his succesor, or used that money to buy him.
We cannot longer do this, as the current transfer dirextor, is lacking the negotiation skillis to make solid profits and use for bargain deals. We are overspending when we buy and sell off, when we sell.
If Napoli were to buy Dybala, they wouldnt spend more thann25mil and if were to buy Jobetic, we would have spent more than 30mil. So, we have to make compomises and live with them.
As long as our direct rivals have so vastly inferior buying power, we will be fine!

We have to pay more than Napoli because we are a significantly richer club, not because of negotiation skills, and even Napoli paid a fortune for Higuain. Tevez, Vidal, Barzagli, Lichtsteiner etc all arrived at very reasonable prices, indicating that we aren't notorious overpayers.

This isn't a street bazaar where you haggle over a few euros up and down. If the selling club has no reason to sell, they don't have to. If there is conpetition for a player, price inevitably goes up.

Name me one club with a great negotiator whobregularly find bargains. Most football fans in general would probably answer Juventus.

We denied Baggio an opportunity to play in the CL by shipping him off to Milan. We gambled on Del Piero, and the gamble paid off. I don't recall Baggio asking to leave.

Vialli had just won everything there was to win with us, and he needed a new challenge. He wasn't getting any younger, and we accepted his request for departure.

Ravanelli was never really a top player; a solid, dependable guy, but I can't group him with those names you listed, and can't really classify him as a star.

As for Zidane, he left after shattering the world record for a transfer fee (at the time), and we got 3 legendary players as a result of that sale.
The Divine One was forced out, Lippi wanted Juve to be less 'Baggio-dependent' and felt ADP was going to be a better player going forward (which he wasn't) but the gamble did pay off for the next several years at least.

I'm 32. Baggio was part of the first Juve team I really remember, the early 90s variation.
I am just messing with you. Del Piero was clearly better for us. After all, we won everything with him on our team. AC Milan were just too strong during our Baggio days. I also recall Samp being highly competitive. After Platini left us, Milan, Inter, and Napoli dominated for a few years.

Why am I butthurt? I said the gamble worked for a few years, which it did. Del Piero was extraordinary and Baggio was forgotten about.

Baggio was the superior player, any Italian I've met, Juve fan or not, who was of the age to have seen both players, have unanimously said that Baggio was the better player. All of them recognised that Baggio was on another level to ADP.

One can say they prefer Del Piero over Baggio, but a better footballer he certainly wasn't. Better for Juve? Of course.

I don't know how it works perfectly in terms of amortisation. But I do know that 1 is less than 3.
If it were up to some folks we wouldn't have anyone left the bench.

Untill that wrenched career effecting injury in november 1998, Del Piero was a better player then Baggio.
When taking in regard the full career of both players, Baggio was better.

The way 2 injuries effected the careers of Ronaldo and Del Piero is still the worst thing to happen to football in its entire existence
