It took a few years longer than most expected, but the 12-year-old kid that Barcelona thought would become the next Messi is now on the right trajectory to follow in his hometown hero’s footsteps.

This article helped me understand why we're getting him.

'(...) The Catalan giants wanted to keep their discovery relatively hidden, however, once Vadala arrived in Spain for his trial, word spread throughout Europe and clubs in both England and Italy also offered Vadala a trial.
The 12-year-old wunderkind ultimately chose Italy, and after years buried in the youth programs of Atalanta and La Masia, Vadala decided that Italy wasn’t for him and he returned to Argentina. (...) '

Guido Vadala huh? we'll end up loaning him to Catania or some other crap team. if he becomes any good we'll end up selling him to Boca like Pogba...no way we keep a top talent here long term.

was just an example of a crap team, could be someone else but I think that's what will happen if he comes.
Maybe, but I don't think you can criticise Juve for taking the gamble of foregoing a few million that would make little difference in the overall scheme of things, in favour of taking a kid who might turn out to be useful.

Why would they give him up for part of a deal for Tevez if he is that highly rated? Yeah Tevez is the Holy graal for them, but would think they wanna keep their biggiest talent for rainy day pay out.

:boh:
but they are under pressure from both Tevez and Beppe. Tevez can still play at high level for next few years, so it might be worth it to trade your "prospect" with a proven star.
