i agree with you, even though i think we want him to be the same as he is now at chelsea. an attacking midfielder who knows how to defend and tackle.
yeah thats probably why we like him as the defensively responsible trequartista has served us well this season with Vidal and Pereyra but Oscar would bring more creativity and vision to that role while keeping the work ethic. But I do think he would be given a bit more freedom simply by having 3 players directly behind him instead of 2. Also without Pirlo it would be more up to Oscar to dictate the buildup (although higher up the field)

Oscar over Firmino any day!
I honestly think either player would work out just fine but I would take Oscar just because he seems more proven at the highest level to me so seems less of a risk. I read Firmino was going to United the other day so i hope thats not true.. if he does maybe Mata would be available.

Part of me wonders what Pogba would look like as a #10..
I would kinda like to see it too but allegri said he felt Pogba was not able to do that role. I think maybe because Pogba is so athletic it is good to use him as a box to box type played going up and down the field. Also, he seems to hang on to the ball a bit longer that he should and his passing should be a bit quicker and fluid for that role imo. But that said, its not like Vidal is spraying one touch 30 yard passes around the field.

Not sure if we know the likes of Firmino even exist. Looks like this Summer is the first time we're actively seeking a #10 since Diegoat

Whereas with CBs, Midfielders, Strikers etc we all know who we've been linked to repeatedly in the past.

Not even in the second team room for a 32MEuro signing?
You dislike the guy that much?
What other 10s are realistically available?

I cant see Isco being allowed to leave, De Bruyne has already stated he doesnt want to play in Italy, Pastore re-signed.
Januzaj, Nasri, Moutinho or Praet.

You didn't say they needed to be good enough :p

Allegri: Juve gimme five
Coach reveals future plans: 'I want a fifth consecutive Scudetto to make history’
'I asked for a Number 10. I like Oscar. Pogba? If he stays, his mind must be on the job. Morata is already worth €70-€80m’

I would actually take Nasri. Definitely an upgrade from Pereyra/Vidal at AM.

oh ffs Allegri got my hopes up again :sergio:

Among the reasonably affordable AM's,Firmino is probably the cheapest one we could sign.

Still wont get my hopes up.inb4 Berardi is the #10.
