We had been very interested in Kondogbia before he joined Sevilla. We even had agreement with his former club on 5m for his card, but he was afraid of joining us back then. That's why he landed at Sevilla instead of Torino.

It is very likely that we still watch him and in case of some opportunity we make a bid.

I don't think a backup role would appeal to a player like Kondogbia though, when he's still in his development phase and could easily start at other great clubs just a level below us.
