We have a different accent and slang, but it's the same language. What could be considered as a separate dialect is what we call 'Joual', and it's mostly illiterate that speak like that.

I lived in a touristic city for years and met many French Canadian, it amazed me at first how some of them didn't even speak a single word of English and got mad at me for not knowing French.
Haitians are very nice people once you know them. You haven't seen anything until you see two Haitians arguing. It's the most amazing thing.
