I dont think so. I just dont understand, why Basel is waiting with it. All Basel supporters I know and talked too also say that he wont leave for free no way the option is there and ll be used.

Basel would have sold him already, if they had no chance to extend..they r not poor, but they wouldnt let him leave on a free instead of selling him for around 5-10m€.

Maybe everything is already agreed with a new club or prearrangements were made, so its not needed to execute or announce an extension..they ll just announce his transfer to the new club..I still hope he ll choose Gladbach.
