My wishlist:

IN: Firmino, Rugani, Berradi, Perreyra, a young left back; a cheap 5th centre back
OUT: Llorente, Pepe, Ogbonna, Marrone.

Buffon
Lichsteiner Barzagli Chiellini Asamoah
Marchisio
Vidal Pogba
Firmino
Morata Tevez

Sub:
Neto
Caceres Bonucci Rugani Erva
Pirlo
Sturaro Asamoah
Pereyra
Berradi Coman
+ 3rd gk, a young leftback (heard good things about Gaya, Amavi), Padoin the utility man, Matri, 5th centre back.

I think this will improve us in many ways and somewhat affordable. Perreyra, Berradi and Coman can provide width when needed and change formation shape. And if Vidal regain his form + Firmino adapt well, our midfielder will be unstopable, very tough to break through.

Tuttosport talking about Gerson again.

Just for the record: he played his first game for the pros last weekend. Subbed in around 60th minute. Looked completely lost and nervous.

This kid has ways to go... and honestly it's not that big talent media wants to make people believe. I just don't understand the hype. It's pretty off

he's meh, wouldn't even get a game for chievo i recon. Never understood the hype about him myself said that throughout the January mercato. Hopefully we dodge this bullet

we dont need a 5th CB. if we wanted one we would keep Ogbonna

Here is what Tim Vickery said about him after the under 20s championship:

Gerson, 17 (Brazil)

One of the rare bright lights in a disappointing Brazil team, left-footed Gerson was filling the notebooks of European scouts and winning comparisons with Paul Pogba of Juventus.

It is still very early. Just 17, Gerson will be available for the next version of this tournament in two years' time, and has yet to make his first-team debut with Fluminense. Not surprisingly for one so young, he had an inconsistent time and did not always appear to be fully trusted by his coach.

But there were flashes of unmistakable talent to go with his developing physical strength - an inspired through ball here, a dip of the shoulder there, were sufficient to raise hopes that Brazil might have an all-round midfielder of considerable quality.

Sounds like a big gamble and that he should stay in Brazil for a few more seasons before any move to Europe.

If Fluminense is smart they'll sell him now for 7/8M. Hopefully not to Juve.

Kennedy on the other hand has more concrete potential. Great tools. But he has been playing with the pros regularly for more than 1 year and still can't translate these tools to performance. They like to use him as a winger but it's a mistake IMO. He should be a CF. But since Fred is there he won't get much playing time in that position, what is a shame.

Honestly the best investment IMO would be in CB Marlon, who was also a starter at the U20. Was already a starter throughout last year Brasileirao despite being 18/19 yr old. He really reminds me of Juan (from Roma). Great left foot technique, amazing calmness on ball, good antecipation skills, decently athletic. He'd be the cheapest of the 3 of them. Low profile guy and player who is out of the spot of fancy attackers. For around 5/6M I believe he could be sold. This would be a great investment. Could go right away to first team to back up Chiellini.

I mean, IMO his upside is much much bigger than freaking Ogbonna's. And he could be bought for half the price, nobody really talks about him.

So IMO forget about Kenedy and Gerson, go for Marlon.

Personally think it's a shame we never got to get a real look at the almost GOAT combination that would have been Sebastian 'The nearly man' Giovinco & Roberto 'Mr Almost' Pereyragol
Haha on point. Giovinco was pretty similar to Pereyra in this sense. He was always almost scoring with his shooting. The guy almost scored almost every game.

Regarding next mercato.

I'll try to go into Marotta's and Paratici heads regarding the youngsters we have (Rugani, Zaza, Berardi). Many signs were given by them so far. I think it's safe to conclude that:

- Rugani is seen as a ready player despite his young age. They already paid for the other half to avoid competition upfront. He will be brought back right away.

- Zaza is also seen as ready player to take part in the rotation. Marotta has stated that he tried to get him in january to compensate the loss of Giovinco. He will be bought for 15M in june. That's 100%.

- Marotta never let anything really clear about bringing Berardi back now. But he has some factors against it:

. only 20 yrs old;
. he is having an inconsistent season (despite great numbers once again, Zaza is less spectacular but a more consistent performer);
. he has had discipline problems with a lot of red cards;
. he plays as an inside forward, not exactly a winger. It is doubtful where he would fit in this team with the current scheme, which should be maintained by Allegri since results have been good so far.
. He will cost 13/15M for his half, and the burden gets bigger when you consider the money to be paid for Zaza;
. If Juve doesn't buy his half, they'll have to sell it to Sassuolo. It should be sold for like 10M. They'd make a profit and compensate on paying for Zaza.
. Marotta can define a buy back clause for Berardi for the next seasons. The risk of losing him is not big since the very close approach with Sassuolo.

So IMO Berardi is not coming, unless he puts in an amazing 2nd semester.

So in a conservative approach, things won't change much. I'll try to be optimistic as we sign an AM like Mikhtarian, using the sales of Isla and Ogbonna for it.

- Allegri stays (doing a good job so far);
- Pogba stays (unless he drops amazing performances in Europe);
- Pirlo stays (he has declared he doesn't see retirement yet and Allegri is not willing to bench him);
- Vidal stays (very bad season probably cooled interest);
- Llorente stays (I doubt he'd accept moving to a meh EPL club. Maybe Valencia, but I bet he'd want to stay);
- Morata stays (Madrid only using buyback clause in 2016 when the player will decide);
- Rugani and Zaza immediatly in;
- Ogbonna sold to free space to Rugani;
- Berardi's half sold with buyback clause + Coman loan out;
- Neto in (free transfer).
- AM in (thinking about Mikhtarian)
- Expenditure around 20/30M, counting on Pereyra's 14M and sales of Isla and Ogbonna.

Starting team: Buffon - Licth, Bonucci, Chiellini, Asamoah - Pirlo, Marchisio, Pogba - Mikhtarian - Tevez, Morata

Bench: Neto - Caceres, Barzagli, Rugani, Evra - Sturaro, Vidal, Padoin, Pereyra - Zaza, Llorente (+ 3rd GK + De Ceglie + Scrub 5th striker)

I'd sooner bring out roberto kovac and legrottaglie out of retirement and have them play in ogbonna's place let alone marlon :p

IF, and that's a big if, we have the opportunity to sign Dybala for an affordable price - say 30 million and below - by all means, let's not buy Zaza for another year at least. Our buy-back still exists the summer afterwards, while Dybala would be gone pretty much for sure.
