Funds will be scarce as usual...need to find players who are ready to step it up to the next level. Ready made stars are not in our budget.

We should be at least look at good examples of teams who have succeeded in the CL

Midfield and Attack Comparison Juve-Atletico:

-----Gabi Tiago Koke
Giezman------------Turan
-------Manzukic

----Vidal Pirlo Pogba
Berardi -----------Tevez
----------Morata

I would say Vidal Pirlo and Pogba are better combination then Gabi Tiago and Koke
in terms of Attack Berardi need to improve a lot but he has potential to become better than Giezmann. Tevez (although he is not a winger, i think it much better than turan). Morata needs to start becoming more of a presence in the field and needs to have that hunger but he has potential to become better than Manzukic.

A player like Jovetic would not improve us that much, in fact i rather see berardi develop into a great player than see jovetic play and get injured for 1/2 the season.

Does Allegri truly want to play the 4-3-3 though? I still think he wants that player behind the 2 forwards. Allegri blew in his jocks over Sneijder. A player who can offer some creativity behind the forwards but more so a hard worker who can drop back and help out midfield. That is the type of player he wants, not a pure creative type...

Jovetic is too risky and Man City won't sell him on the cheap.

Is it just me or does everyone else think Berardi will be benched?

I think he'll be benched at first, being an alternative to change sistem or simply someone like Tévez. But if he puts good enough performances he'll end up being a part of the starting XI.

Juventus target Allan, Vazquez?
By Football Italia staff

Udinese’s Allan and Palermo’s Franco Vazquez are reportedly among Juventus’ summer transfer targets.

The Bianconeri have been linked with Vazquez and the player's agent has admitted that his client would like to move to Turin.

According to RAI, Vazquez is joined on the Old Lady’s shortlist by Brazilian midfielder Allan of Udinese.

Juve are known to have a good relationship with the Zebrette, signing Kwadwo Asamoah, Mauricio Isla and Roberto Pereyra from the Friuli side in recent years.

RAI believes that Allan would be seen as a low-cost replacement for Aturo Vidal or Paul Pogba, possibly allowing any funds to be spent on another Palermo player, Paulo Dybala.
Interesting.

No it isn't when you consider we got Pogba for Free and Vidal for 10m.

Business as usual for Beppe. :beppe:

i have been thinking about Vidal and his status here for a while and realized a few things. i think there are big chances of him leaving this summer and im gonna explain why. i would personally never do it but there are many factors that have to be considered here...

1st, when we renewed the contract it was only for ONE extra year until 2017 (we renewed with Pogba until 2019). now, im sure we would do everything to keep Arturo here so maybe he requested for a shorter contract so he has the possibility to eventually consider other options. maybe he wanted to leave even last summer but we convinced him with an increased salary to stay for one extra year...

2nd, this is the summer we lose no important players except for Llorente (and the rest are squad fillers; Ogbonna, Padoin, Pepe etc.). summer 2016 we lose Pirlo, Barzagli, Evra, Tevez, summer 2017 possibly Buffon and Licht. it would be better to lose Vidal now when we have no important players leaving than "lose half the team" next year with him Tevez etc. it would be unwise to do what Milan did, keep all your key players for years and let them go all at the same time, so we should start thinking about it already.

3rd, this is the mercato we not only have to potentially spend up to 60M on Berardi, Zaza, Pereyra, Romulo. this is also the mercato we have to resolve ALL co-ownerships (and we all know how many of those we have) + the league is restricting the number of players in teams to 25, so there is not much room to make major signings. this whole mercato is kinda different from the others so that might limit our options (except if we can sign someone like Jovetic on loan, but i doubt we could do that). selling Vidal (I REPEAT; ONLY IF WHAT I SAID IS TRUE AND HE WANTS TO LEAVE EVENTUALLY; OTHERWISE I WOULD NEVER DO IT) might free up a lot of wages and give us extra money to work with so we might do it.

4th, hes turning 28 soon. if he has any intentions of leaving Juve for a better (or richer) club now is the perfect time (actually, last summer was better for that but this is probably one of his last chances).

5th, he is probably at the peak of his market value, i doubt it will increase from this point on. next season he will be entering the last year of his current contract so his price would sink even more. if we consider all this, there is no better time to sell him under his current contract than summer 2015.

the best thing would be if he renewed the contract and stayed for the rest of his career here. the fans love him, he loves the club, he rejected United in the summer already, he became the best player in his position at this club. so what do you guys think? i know if i asked "would you sell Vidal?" no one would do it. but does anyone think its possible to sell him? that both parties (Juve and Vidal) might decide its over?

I'd be more willing to sell Vidal than Pogba. Let's say we manage to get 35-40 for Vidal :)howler:) we could use that for Dybala and get a deal somewhere on a new CM...maybe just maybe play Asamoah there?
