Jovetic is yesterday's news. Move on to something better. Preferably wingers as Jovetic wouldn't bench Tevez and maybe not even Morata.

What do you guys think of Cabella? The guy has been good/impresive every time I've seen him. Really fast and agile, seems to be laking ending product tho, 1 goal and 1 assissts on the current season with Newcastle... but last season he scored 14 goals and assisted 7 on Ligue 1. Can play as a winger and as a CAM. According to transfermarkt they got him for €10M, so if we could get him for 8-12M it'd be pretty good to have another option to try 433 or rest our main CAM next season.
He doesn't even start all of the time for Newcastle. No thanks.

Yeah but Dzeko won't get any better on skills, he is now only form-based player, while other two are still getting better and better
yeah, but when Dzeko is on form he's scoring truckloads of goals while the other two are considered on form if they score a few. I don't mind if Dzeko is not getting better, last season the guy scored 26 goals, way more than Zaza and Morata combined.

He played like 50 games. It's OK, but nothing too impressive

Some doubt whoscore.com, but as years goes by it becomes more and more the reflexion of who players are and how they perform. There you go: http://www.whoscored.com/Teams/86 Allan is by far the most import player for the team, and others at the team look like primavera players
Yeah, a lot of times its BS. But when you have a few "VERY STRONG" attributes, it's usually indicative of a superior player whether it is in actual ability (Ronaldo) or simply skill (Taarabt).

Allan has VERY STRONG in defensive contribution, tackling, and dribbling. Few players have that. Also this guy average 5 tackles per game!

It's tough for strikers when playing as reserve players for those teams. City for 3-4 years has rotated strikers other than Aguero who usually starts b/c he is a step above. It's hard for Dzeko (or Jovetic for that matter) to show his true ability consistently when being in and out of the squad.

Also, if you do well outside the EPL it translates less from other leagues b/c there are no tactics and you play artificially quick. It's comical when you watch a Serie A game (we are the slowest of course) vs. an EPL game. But regardless, if you compare the EPL to even the World Cup games, the pace in the EPL feels manufactured and fake. It's like they try and make it fast so that it sells. I think that's why despite the self-proclaimed title of "best league in the world", EPL teams don't fair particularly well internationally, despite their budgets. Even when they do win, they adopt more traditional tactics rather than the hockey-like style of the EPL. Biggest example: Chelsea vs. Barcelona.

It was funny when Mancini played a 4-3-1-2 with City, he got crucified in the media, and City became known as "Boring City". LOL @ being able to defend as being boring.

Zaza and Morata can be expected to improve season upon season though. Dzeko has already hit his peak.

I'd taken him without aksing twice a few years ago, but even then I wasn't his biggest fan. Now I wouldn't sign him to be honest.

Jovetic would faecally soil himself straining to lift Carlitos bags, much less attempt to replace him. IMO, he can't play wide, doesn't score enough to warrant being played in the centre and would demand plenty of ball if played in the hole. He'd be a luxury player for us at this point in time.

I was very impressed with the player during '09-'10 and '11-'12, but that ship has sailed. He's been mediocre in the EPL, is constantly injured and would command a high salary/transfer fee. I dont know what it is about this player that causes posters here to have raging hardons. I remember a couple of years ago, a good number wanted him over Luis "El Jefe" Suarez in the wishlist thread.

I'd rather take my chances on Mhkitaryan and a couple of wingers.
If it was up to me I'd skip both and move for a winger. We'll have to make a switch to winger based formation sooner or later and we could fully switch to it in 2016 when Tevez and Pirlo leave.

Mhkitaryan's finishing is sub par. Will never be world class. We need to stop going for mediocrity. We need to sign superstars. We are Juventus. Our team has to be star-studded. Opponents need to look at us and think: 'shit, there's Buffon. There's Thuram. There's Cannavaro. There's Nedved. There's Del Piero. There's Trezeguet. We cannot possibly beat these guys'.

We need the elite. The very best. People who will perform. We need the next Cristiano Ronaldo.
