yes, it seems obvious after loaning the LB instead of going for younger and more expensive options that we want to have more money to invest in that AM. from our side, after we sell Llorente finally (i hope), everything is set, and we can go for that AM (Draxler). 2 things im worried about though.

1. Schalke playing hardball - because obviously, they dont have to sell at all costs, Draxler is young they can sell him in one of the next summers. also, cant see him force a transfer if they reject our offer since hes their youth product, plays there his whole life, loves the club etc.

and 2. no alternatives - atleast not good enough to start for us and not right now (might change in the coming days). im not worried about 2. as much as i should be though. a new AM would be excellent, but im confident the team is good enough and competitive as it is now. on the positive side, atleast we would witness a huge meltdown if we dont get no one

think he looked quite good on the LW...but so did shaqiri.

Bayern fans i know rated him highly. havent seen much of him myself, didnt play much so i didnt even get the chance, but i thought he is their top prospect along with Gaudino and Hojbjerg. quite surprised they let him go so easily

If I remember correctly, his release clause expired (though I could perhaps be thinking of another player). So Heldt can make up a price as he goes alone. Personally, I would love to see Beppe smash a 5 pound crytal ashtray over Heldt's head during negos.

That was true last season too though: we didn't have a Vidal to replace Vidal from the seasons prior. Because he was mostly a shadow of himself last season.

The same story applies to Krasic (I know, he is crap, but still) – for some time he was pretty good here. But then eventually everybody learned his only trick and that's it.

still not sure why they did not hold on to mitchell weiser.

Same here, as I think he has the potential to be a good future RB with his skills..his defending wasnt the best, but I had hope that he could learn it and adapt.

Obviously Weiser wasnt interested in signing an extension and he wants more playing time and maybe he ll get it as a RW in Berlin. He showed good performances at the end of last year.

He prob woke up too late, cos his behaviour until the start of the last season was simple not professional enough.

Its 45,5m€ until 30.06. then the option expired and next year Draxler can use it again until end of June.
