I think Berardi could become our number 10 next season. Allegri has a good track record to develop youngsters and make them adaptable to diffrent positions. De sciglio went from RB to Lb, Niang went from CF to RW. idk if he's gonna do that for berardi from SS to AM

I don't know - if Firmino goes to Manchester United, who is going to be a starter - him or Depay? Fishy to say the least... Not to mention Van Gaal's favourite Ashley Young.
Firmino will probably play in a more advanced role like a false 9 that is the only way I can see him fit into the starting 11. still man ure once against just thrashing money out without looking like it is actually planned to suit the team's needs

out of tevez(?), dybala and berardi,
berardi would be the last one i’d pick as AM.

dont know what max sees in him :boh:

the passing is not there, close control dribbling neather imo.
dybala is better at both...

but hey,
if max thinks so - i give him max support.

Firmino false 9 and Rooney real 9? That is going to be interesting to say the least.
firmino to be the next kagawa. :mut:

then loan + obligation to buy for 14€million :beppe:

Maybe they brought him as depth/rotation ? :boh: There are reports that they're going to spend 200m again this summer.
18M on a rotation player while you already have Depay, Young, Valencia, Di Maria, Januzaj, Mata, a big talent as Pereira?
And when you need the cash to build a new attack and to buy 1 or 2 top defenders and maybe a GK?
Surely Mata or Di Maria togheter with Young or Valencia will leave and a loan deal for either Januzaj or Pereira is coming up else I don't understand the reasoning in buying Depay and Firmino.
And they still need to sell Nani.

Front line seems fine and likely to be stronger. central midfield is along similar lines, yet has the potential transfer movements of pirlo, pogba and vidal making things hazy, yet still I believe it will be stronger come August. central defence is fine and dandy, especially with caceres returning to fitness and I hope to see rugani appear in the ranks. Buffon is timeless, storari or Neto are fine backups with Leali continuing his education elsewhere. Which leaves, for me, the major area in need of upgrade/renovation the fullback roles...

I wonder, with the riches in our pockets, why we do not appear to be chasing Darmian. He seems perfect for our requirements. And ultra talented. He is the one player I feel we should overspend to acquire. Lichsteiner is second, by my reckoning, only to that monster Ivanovic. Caceres can back him up, and who can say how valuable he could be if given the chance, for a serious amount of games at either LB or RB in a flat back four? He has the engine, heart and technique. Evra is getting long in the tooth, Romulo...??? Does he deserve another chance?? I think not, especially he seems more comfortable in midfield than as a defender on the flank. Asamoah could be brilliant, yet perhaps he is earmarked as squad player for CM?

Perhaps I have missed a few strong rumours regarding fullbacks, for my eyes have been stars and my focus the blossoming love found in the arms of a beautiful apache poetess...I had found myself in cocoon of bliss with the apache last Saturday night, the alarm sounded at 420am and I was loathe to leave her warmth, yet knowing of my tribal loyalty to the Juve cause, she dragged me from our bed, made raspberry and honey tea to soothe my sore throat, wrapped herself around me on the couch and opened one eye enough to make an effort to appreciate the final, despite her total disinterest in the sport. Indeed, a Woman whom I now cannot avoid finding myself always eager to make glow...yet where was I...this fullback dilemma. We have potentially world class players in every other position, yet only Lichsteiner as one of the 2 starters of that calibre.

What of Zappacosta?

Yet he is potential, not proven class.

Who else are we chasing to improve our defensive flanks? It is the one area we have close to neglected in terms of spending sizeable funds for many moons. Admittedly, I know it is tough to find quality players in such roles. Yet surely we are to address these areas?

Are we in any way attempting to grab Darmian?
