Suazo And Moratti Could Face FIGC Ban
The FIGC could punish both David Suazo and Inter Milan if the two parties had penned a contract before they should have.
There had been suggestions from Inter Milan that David Suazo had signed a contract after the Honduran competed his medical at Inter, even before a deal had been struck with Cagliari.
Should that turn out to be the case, both Suazo and Moratti could face suspension, the player being out of action for up to six months.
"Both Suazo and Massimo Moratti said that a contract had already been signed," said Mario Stagliano, former vice president of FIGC's investigative committee.
"If that is the case, then even if it was torn up later, the crime was admitted by both parties and so a punishment is applicable.
"According to the regulations, the player and the President must be suspended or face some form of sanction.
"The maximum ban is six months."
While Milan have recently conceded defeat and pulled out of the negotiations, the saga is far from over.
