Marco Storari believes there is room for improvement after inspiring Juventus to their first Serie A victory of the season against Parma.
The goalkeeper pulled off a string of fine saves to guarantee a clean sheet, with his job made even more challenging by the torrential rainfall shortly before kick-off.
“The weather didn’t help us out,” said the 35-year-old. “The pitch was greasy and it was difficult to control the ball. Perhaps we took our foot off the gas a little too much in the closing stages, we should be more alert as conceding a goal would have made things a lot more complicated. It was a good performance on the whole, but we can do better.”
Storari also revealed the words used by Massimo Carrera to inspire an improved second-half display.
“He told us to play with greater intensity, the type we showed last year and what was lacking from our first-half display."
