So far only Savicevic's words. But even that could be nothing because maybe the Italian journalists called him and asked him what does he think about the Jovetic to Juve rumor. Savicevic didn't say anything about a transfer and only answered that Juve would be a great move for Jo-Jo.
I think Jojo himself's pushing for this move a bit. Earlier news was about his intention of leaving and he asked to be sold. then everything followed up.(and I just remembered the look on his face when we played purple rats and he was sitting next to Krasic in stands :touched:)

As for us, it's been said that Conte's a fan, and I reckon for a player like Jovetic we'd be willing to take this sudden change of plans because of his availability.

I too think we're interested and there has been contact with Fiorentina. But probably a mixture of: 1) It's not an easy deal to make and 2) We're also interested in other more proven forwards like RVP and Cavani, is the reason why we're not pushing for this deal with all our weapons.

Indeed, mainly number 2, we are waiting for the ball to roll in the market when it comes to "top" strikers, one leaving/being bought is whats needed to start things for real. Playing the waiting game is prolly the main reason why are have been quiet about Jovetic interest, no reason to commit while our main priority of top striker still has potential to happen.

I'd take JoJo over RVP, and even Cavani any day. I'm sure we can get Cavani or even Higuain for less next year, when Napoli fail to qualify for the CL yet again (and all the major teams are already stacked/stocked with CFs) and/or Higuain becomes fed up of riding the bench @ Madrid, and clearly sees how ambitious Juventus are.

I'm defenitely a fan of Jovetic for sure, but considering our needs (need to add absolute lethal edge to our game) and that both players you mentionned are proven top class difference makers who produce alot of goals, its bit silly to say you take him over them "any day". Especially Cavani, who would pretty much be as perfect as an option can get for our attack.

If we cant sign them, which seems unlikely, then I would love to get Jovetic.

RVP would give us 2-3 years at max, if even that. Considering his age and wage demands, I'd take JoJo. Hence, they any day bit ;) JoJo could give us a solid 8-10 years, and if an insane offer came in after 3-5 seasons, we could still sell him for a substantial amount of money, and find a quality replacement.

As for Cavani, I'm all for signing him, but Napoli's demands are unrealistic. Hence, the any day comment yet again :D

Moreover, I firmly believe that next summer some of these guys will be available for less, and new/interesting prospects might pop up. Therefore, we are betting off acquiring JoJo now, and biding our team for that CF signing.

I'd take Jojo over RVP...but I don't know about Cavani. Just because we're lacking a real goalscorer threat.

But c'mon Jojo!!!!!!

Updated Wishlist:

Jovetic/Vucinic --- Dzeko/Matri
De Ceglie/Giach --- Marchisio/Asamoah --- Pirlo/Pogba --- Vidal/Marrone --- Isla/Lichsteiner
Chiellini/Caceres --- Barzagli/Bonucci --- Lucio/Caceres
Buffon/Storari/Leali

Sell Giovinco, Quag, Pepe, Krasic, Martinez, Padoin, Pazienza, Melo, Iaquinta, Grosso, Ziegler, Motta and the other players who are still on the payroll. That seems like a lot of players who need to go - 12 in total will need to leave if Jovetic and Dzeko are bought. I'm not fully sure of the status of these. Anyone care to fill me in? Have they been sold or loaned?

Don't renew Boriello and Estigarribia.

In two years, replace Vucinic with Rossi. :MJ:

I wouldn't take Jojo over RVP tbh. I think RVP is the kinda player who can win you Cl, like Drogba. I agree that Jojo is a better investment long term but RVP at the moment is a class above.

I just wanted to move the discussion back to Jojo's actual thread. So basically Nick posted that Juventus and Jovetic have an agreement for 3.5M a year. Marotta doesn't want to spend more than 18M + a player. Fiorentina wanted 18M + Giaccherini but Conte said no. Fiorentina want 22M + Padoin and Pazienza but Pazienza might be off to Torino.

Should we start dancing now or later? Fuck it I'm dancing now. :weee:

I swear to God Nick, if you're lying...:andy2:

Also I just checked the Milan forums and they're so oblivious to the market. They think Inter and Napoli are battling it out for Jovetic. :sergio:
