Jojo > Suarez.

I can't think of an SS that i'd rather have, actually.
Suarez is less injury prone and played and ye likelier of the two to carry the burden of the marquee player. Maybe due to age and greater exposure. IMO anyway. I think Luis is at the right age to make a more immediate impact.

My point exactly.

Most of our team was injury prone pre-Conte...now look.

Your point is negated & nullified.

Half our team last year was made up of new recruits and most of them had pretty clean injury histories. Guys like Licht, Caceres, Giaccherini, Vidal etc. The injury prone players were Malaka, Iaquinta etc who were semt out anyway. if we are looking to invest in somebody whose going to be contributing for a long time, I just think Suarez is the likelier of the two to be the better investment and will be the quicker of the two to assume the responsibility of being the main man. This is not to discount JoJo's quality and potential. Potentially, he is likely to be the bigger player, but here and now, Luis just looks like the more impactful purchase.

Good points and all, but I still don't think its fair to call Jovetic injury prone. Hell, technically so is Chiellini & Buffon if we want to take it that far. Should we sell them? :D:D

Jovetic has been doing extremely well since he was brought here as a teenager. He has been player here since he was what 18-19 years old? He knows the league, has mad talent and all the qualities to out play Suarez on the big stage. Jovetic is one for the future and has everything needed to absolutely explode in a good team, which we now have.

The ingredients are there, and will be easier to deal with Fiorentina than Liverpool I'd say (player swaps, etc) and not straight cash.

Jovetic for the win. We need him and he has everything to be a game changer like your claim Suarez is.

baggio should stop dreaming about Suarez atleast for now..they wont sell him for sure this season.

With the likely arrivals of Dempsey and ramirez this would surely convince Suarez to stay..So forget about him for this season atleast.

Of course, if we consider the cost and what we stand to lose, I'd rather lose 18-20m plus Krasic than 22-24m plus Matri.

Vuciinic-Matri-Suarez > Vucinic-Destro/Pazzini-JoJo and Vucinic-JoJo-Giovinco.

Of course, the more I think about the options we could potentially have, the more I'm enjoying the idea of having Edin Dzeko on the squad. :p :p

Won't Ramirez probably replace Suarez anyway in that line up?? That's what I'd like to think. Let's see how it plays out. I somehow think Liverpool need the cash in a non CL season.
