If Jovetic can remain somewhat injury free (yes, its a big if), a pairing of Jovetic-Mandzukic would be the first choice pairing on every single other Serie A squad out there. And these two are the second choice pairing.
But what is really great is that these acquisitions were not done with Serie A in mind. Hell, a Dybala-Morata attack is more than good enough to dominate Serie A again. No, these two prospective moves are done with Europe in mind.

Jovetic's European pedigree is better than you think it is. The one chance that he was given significant playing time in Europe, he carried Fiorentina on his back. Granted, that was some time ago, but there is a difference between not performing in Europe and being frozen out and not getting the chance.
And as far as Berardi goes, he doesn't want to come back this year. I think that has basically been the prognosis on him. Why pursue that any further this year when one of his goals is to feature at Euro 2016? He certainly won't do that this year if he is a backup for Juve. The kid is still only 20. If he comes back next year, he will be at the ripe old age of 21, and yet a year younger than Dybala.

Ok, but that doesn't mean that it is an outright purchase.
Let's keep in mind here that when dealing with a foreign club, there are really no such thing as "installments". Especially in the case of dealing with a Premier League side that doesn't need the money, and doesn't need to do us or anyone else any favors. It's probably a loan with an option to buy, that is upgraded to an obligation if certain goals are met.

You implied that this must be a signal that one or more starters are leaving the club.
I don't believe that for one second. If that does indeed happen, it won't be because of a need to balance the purchases that were made this summer. When I said that this was several years in the making, I am referring to the economic turnover in the last few years being greater and greater, to the point where additions such as this can be made without the need to sell anyone.
And besides, someone like Beppe who has the background that he does, it would be highly risky to buy these players based on the hope that he can sell off others. It doesn't seem to be his Modus Operandi

Ok I do get that and I know we made hafty income this past season but seeing as how this management operates, an unsuccessful season would see us crippled next summer and this might trigger a cycle. I was always against the penny pinching but now it looks like we are doing the opposite. I am not complaining just a bit concerned. I was proven wrong in seeing success out of a policy I was against to witnessing the opposite.
