Hmm...20 M€? Then we are most probably doing some selling from our starters because the spending is becoming bigger than what we got used to from Marotta.

Out:

Tevez, Llorente, Matri.

In, or potentially in:

Mandzukic, Dybala, Zaza, Jovetic.

Not only would the attack be deeper and more diversified, but the oldest player of the bunch (Mandzukic), is younger than any of the three that are leaving.

Wow.

overall, our attack will be better than this season, when we depended too much on Tevez. Morata is a year older/more experienced, and we add 3 great strikers who will improve our depth in attack greatly. amazing job by the great man to replace Tevez.

I think some of you guys are really overrating Jovetic, is the guy really that much better than Vucinic? I've watched him at Man City, he's good but he's not consistent at all

Decides not to over spend on Jovetic
Lets Manchester City buy him
Buys Tevez from Manchester City for much cheaper
Tevez leaves after 2 years
Buys Jovetic for much cheaper price

Wilshere is a top player and would walk into any starting 11 in the PL. He can dribble through the tight spaces, bring the ball forward, play intricate passing and has a good range of passing. That's without mentioning the strike he has.

I'd even go as far as saying we need him more than Pogba, especially if Yaya stays.

I don't get some fans logic on here. It's like they are obsessed by what the media and other fans think about us and would rather miss out on top players than spend what's needed.

Look at it another way, if you look at the England squad. How many of the players would get into Spain or Germany's squad?

IMO there are 3 players. We already have one and are looking to sign the other two. Now that's the way to solve the HG issue.
Meanwhile at the City forum.

This is what I was going to say, right after i got out of my shower, but you beat me to it.

This eliminates the fear of being too dependent on one player. First it was Pirlo, then Tevez.

This year's attack, if this is how it shapes up, is far more diverse, offers far more tactical choices, and aside from not having the fate of your club on matchday depending on one person, this also alleviates some pressure from Dybala. With Jovetic there (if this happens), he doesn't have to be "the man" right away. Certainly he will be the 1st choice SS, but we won't be left empty handed if/when he struggles.

I think this is something that the board has been working towards for the last several years, Jack. The last thing that crosses my mind is "This MUST mean that we are selling someone"

I think Morata has to step up though in Tevez absence. He is the main guy in our attack.
But he won't be the ONLY guy, which is extremely comforting.

While a lot of teams out there are worried that they can't find ONE consistent goalscorer (Looking at you Roma), we on the other hand, will all be wondering which one out of our top 4 will score today.

That's a nice problem to have.

Of course. It's comforting to know there is Mandzukic ready to come in when it's not working out with Alvaro. How times have changed, damn. Can't wait for next season to begin.
