Did Iaquinta strike you as someone likely to pull a Iaquinta?

I don't disagree with you about Quagliarella. I think he'd clear off if Juve told him he wasn't required any more and there was someone decent willing to take him.
You have a point.

But Iaquinta had at least a year extra on his contract I believe and also higher wages. And also injuries that he was probably too lazy to rehab properly. And I can't even remember, but I'm not sure he was being asked to move to a top 4 team and probably start quite a bit like Quag/viola.

Plus I have a suspicion Fabio needs to see himself on the highlights to feel good.

Yeah, I think the injuries played a big role in Iaquinta not leaving.

He'd probably just got accustomed to not playing and realised that it wasn't so bad to not have to work so hard and still pocket a few million a year.

    If Jovetic comes and Llorente arrives, he isn't the best of the bunch any longer.

    And being the best of the current bunch doesn't really say much either.
