In terms of efficiency, we should keep quags and offer gio and matri in any case.

Keeping llorente and quags in any case i think is our best plan
Well said Hydde!

can agree with that, Quag is a pretty good supersub and Matri is probably worth more anyway.
Ahkmed bringing the heat.

Yeh, im just thinking ahead of the possibility of madrid getting super greedy and the higuain deal falling.

At the worst, we can swap between llorente and quags as our main forwards...while vucinic and jovetic takes turns as supportive striker. For a fifth one, pick a young guy from the primavera and thats it. That way all our strikers will be busy the whole season amd no one will be crying about being benched.
Pretty interesting actually. Though I can actually see us work with Llorente, Higuain, Jojo, Vucinic, Quag too.

apparently they like all of Matri, Gio, Isla, Marrone and Quag.

10-12m + Gio + Matri is a good deal.
If both Gio and Matri are in the deal, I'd say 8m plus them.

Prade says the Fiorentina owners haven't given him permission to negotiate with Juve.

Says the claims of Arsenal being interested are untrue.

It all feels like they're readying themselves to deal with us.

Very interesting, yes very interesting indeed.

I could actually see us work with Llorente, Falcao, Messi, Vucinic and Ibarbo, as well.

Interesting. Hmmm. Maybe we should also grab Bale and Veratti while we're at it, really round out the team.

:p

Fiorentina rates him at 30m, Matri couldn't be sold for 10m and Gio about 12m.

10 (cash)+8+12m = 30m

We're getting the better deal because Jovetic >>> Gio & Matri and we're not even paying that much.

"Jovetic has made it clear he wants to stay in Italy & his agent Ramadani has promised him to Juventus. 30M cash is difficult but Fiorentina may take players like Marrone & Leali from Juventus in exchange."

You think valuing Jovetic at 30M is not crazy, that's the problem.

Falcao and Messi don't cost 25m
Please, just please, tell me you understand that I was making fun of the notion of us bringing three high quality attackers to the team this offseason, when it has been years since we've signed even one. That's all that post was - there's a lot of silliness going on around here, and people need to curb expectations.

I also feel that there's a growing attitude on this forum that because we're successful, and there is a surplus of strikers on the market, that all of a sudden Beppe is going to be able to get everyone he targets - on his own terms.

People need to get a grip. This is what Conte was talking about, when he said that you cannot buy the CL. It's a team, there needs to be balance, chemistry, you need that harmony. Adding so many pieces up top, big egos on big salaries, competing for limited places, could be very disruptive to locker room chemistry. You simply do not do that when everything is going well, when the TEAM is growing the way we are. None of the remaining attackers would be happy, the dressing room would likely suffer, there's a high likelihood that at least one of the new attackers is unhappy with his situation, or doesn't make the transition well, and a lot of money is wasted. Also, other positions might not get strengthened as needed (hell, the youth sector potentially could even suffer, we could miss out on a big opportunity).

We're going sustainable here, people, and we need to. Welcome to Serie A.

Gio & Matri both are very mediocre for us and we only give 10m cash.

win-win

I love how you're the one that seems to think we're getting 3 superstars in attack, yet you're the one feeling the need to

To each his own, Bogan. But the extensive transfer lists I've seen you post, where we're adding 7-8 players of the caliber you're posting (including 3 in attack)... not going to happen, brother. Hope springs eternal, but if you truly think those lists are happening, I gotta at least suggest that maybe you haven't been paying close enough attention to how our club has been operating.
