Well he's in England atm.So he probably has to say something to appease the English mass/press when asked about his future.
For instance ,if Van Persie was in Italy and when asked questions about his future(provided there's interest from Italian sides) he probably would've said something similar.

He's brown-nosing Arsenal because he wants to avoid any pressure in his career. If he came to Juventus, he would be under constant scrutiny. Just look at Giovinco.
Arsenal hasn't won anything in the last couple of years and will surely continue on that path. It's a perfect environment for someone who's not that ambitious: big name club with slim chances of winning anything significant in coming years.
