Yeah such a skank, especially considering he hasn't even attempted forcing his way out of his club, despite many interests in him.
It always the quiet ones ;)

Anyhow, seems like Jojo is dying to play for us but doesn't want to spoil the love the fans have for him. So he won't ask for a transfer. Which means Delle Valle will keep asking for teams to meet Jojo's release clause. Which Marotta doesn't want to meet.

Mabye the pressure Conte's been putting on our board will result in them paying the money for Jojo? Mabye? Hope so!

I doubt we're going to suddenly fork out 30m on an attacking player when we have both Gio and Vuci to fill the SS role. Llorente is here, Matri is a good bench option. Can't see them investing little, if anything in this department.

Point taken regarding a sudden change in transfer policy. however, regarding the second point, I think Quagliarella and one more - Vucinic most likely- are on the way out in the summer.

Do you really think we'll go without signing another first team forward this summer?

First of all this is not some sort of fact or anything.Secondly this is based on the assumption of some 'gurus' here that Conte is putting pressure on the board to give him a top class player in attack so we cant say for sure you know.

Why on earth would Vucinic leave? Conte is obsessed about him and he does have a chance of signing with any team of any quality like Juve. Do you have some sources on that or ?

Just the way he's been talking in the media sounds like somebody flirting with other options to give himself more sway in contract negotiations. In other words it sounds to me like he's putting pressure onto the board. Mabye he'll try to use that to get a higher standard of Forward than we'd otherwise be able to afford? I've not got any sources or whatever, in just speculating.

Do both of you think we'll not sign another forward alongside Llorente?

Maybe we would but someone who is going to come at a reasonable cost and within our price range.

(I'm looking at Muriel and Belfodil type players.Young talents who would command fees which would be within our parameters.)

I agree. The cheapest player we've been linked with is aprox 18 and named Muriel. I really doubt we're going to pay 18 for Muriel. The others are much more expensive.

Jovetic enjoys Arsenal attention

Fiorentina starlet Stevan Jovetic has fuelled reports of a potential €30m transfer to Arsenal. “It is nice when you are interesting clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City.”

The Montenegro international is in the British papers as England prepare for Tuesday’s head-to-head World Cup qualifier.

“It sure is nice when you are interesting big clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City,” he was quoted as telling the Daily Star.

“It feels good because the English game currently has probably the strongest league in the world.

“I’m very comfortable in Italy, but the Premier League is at the top of the football world – and perhaps the best.

“We will see what happens in the future.”

Tuttosport suggest negotiations with Arsenal are going well, though there is still a £5.5m gap between demand and offer.

Jovetic has a buy-out clause in his contract worth £25m, though so far the Gunners have only proposed a £19.5m bid.

Arsenal could be favoured by the fact Fiorentina would prefer to sell Jovetic abroad rather than to their arch rivals Juventus.

.......

From TS though.

ARSENAL target Stevan Jovetic can set up a summer move to the Premier League by wrecking England’s World Cup dreams tonight.

Montenegro striker Jovetic, 23, admits he is flattered by the Gunners’ interest and rates them highly despite their problems since losing Robin van Persie to Manchester United last summer.

But tonight in his home town of Podgorica, the Fiorentina star will be gunning for potential team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and the Three Lions in the vital Group H clash.

Jovetic, who is equally comfortable as an out-and-out striker or in a 'No 10’ role, said: “I’ve heard about Arsenal’s interest. It’s a big pleasure for me to be on the radar of such a big club. I am happy about that.

“I’ve always had an affinity with Arsenal. It’s a major club with a big tradition, one of the biggest in Europe.

“It’s not easy to replace Van Persie, who scored a lot of goals.

“Arsenal have plenty of players who don’t score like Van Persie, but are also very good.

“They are still very strong. I often watch Premier League games on TV. It’s one of the best leagues in the world and looks tempting for me.

“Maybe one day I will play there but I have a contract with Fiorentina and battling for a Champions League place in Serie A is the only thing I’m thinking about now.”

Well, that and the small matter of tonight’s game.

Victory would take Montenegro five points clear of England and put the tiny Balkan nation within touching distance of becoming the smallest country ever to qualify for the World Cup.

Their tails are up following a hard-fought win in Moldova and, with a passionate home crowd behind them, £20million-rated Jovetic believes they can claim an historic result to back up two draws with England in Euro 2012 qualifying.

He said: “Of course we are very confident, especially after we beat Moldova and stayed top of the group.

“The game against England will be massive, not only because we play against great opponents, but also because it’s a battle for who will be first in the group.

“We have been preparing for this match for a week but it has been in our heads for a few months.

“We are going to play against a top team and yes, it is a hard job in front of us.

“However, the English will not have an easy task against us in front of our amazing fans.

“In the Euro qualifiers I played the second game in Podgorica and it was unforgettable.

“The celebration after the second goal when we secured a play-off spot I will remember for a long time.

“We have more experience than two years ago. Otherwise it’s the same team, with the same players.

“England are always very strong. But we are not afraid of them.

“We have the quality and experience to compete with England, especially in front of our fans.”
