No, he left because he didn't want to play in Serie B. He was pretty vocal about it.

Ok, so...this is why Juve should sign Jovetić?

Did you become angry because of me ruling out Jovetić to Juve?

No need for that. I would like to see Jovetić in Juve, he's and excellent player, but it seems like he is going to England....and can Juve afford him, and does he fit into Conte's tactic?

From what I understand, Villa requested that he go to Atletico Madrid, in return for him not being sold last January
You know that's only because of marotta's inability to convince him of the prestige one would get from playing for juve, right?

it's disappointing to see someone i thought was a quality poster with great insight and vision fall prey to marotta's tricks, illusions, and situations he creates to disguise his mediocrity.

Creative forwards? Who says we only need creativity from our forwards? We have Tevez, Vucinic, Llorente, Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio who could make things happen in this squad.
LOL, so now you are moving the goal posts. You made fun that I said that Tevez is our only creative forward and you said he isn't.

Anyway, sticking to the point at hand, Vucinic might do something 1 out of 10 times when he feels like it and Llorente is useless as a dribbler. The other ones are part of our excellent midfield but as last season showed they are not enough when your forwards suck balls against quality teams.

Hey, why not get another midfielder if what you say is true and we don't need creative forwards? LOL, that might make Cronios happy. :p

Anyway, I'm right. It's not like the season is over, we will probably win the league quite comfortably if we don't get distracted, but I expect us to perform exactly the same in the champions league as last time.

He's a targetman, without creativity around him he's useless, he'll never dribble a couple of players and then put a killer pass.

So again we only have one guy capable of creating, unless we bang in crosses hoping Llorente will do something.
:lol2:

Sounds like you've been watching alot of Llorente.

We have ONE quality forward who might already be in decline. So that's ONE great forward for 3 tournaments. Who else do we have that can make a difference? Giovinco? Yeah right. Vucinic? Maybe when he feels like it, which isn't often.Jovetic is an exciting young prospect that has the best years of his career ahead. But as always, we just don't want to spend the funds and rather buy collections of 10-15 million euro players. It's depressing to be honest.Just remember, we spent 18 millions on Matri and the guy can't control a pass if his life depended on it. Ridiculous.
I feel smarter.

After reading pleasant posts of previously angry members such as cronios or interdestroyer, and the abscense of catanaccio, i read this

Seems you still got the intellect of a fly and havent evolved past it, but keeps banging against the mirror instead

I think you are mistaken juventus with stoke city i'm afraid, you might want to actually watch us.

You know, we were known to be the team that creates truckloads of chances, and misses most of them.

Secondly, llorente is a very technical targetman, and i'm pretty certain you never watched him or bothered reading up about him, so why express this silly opinion ?

creativity isn't exactly the same as dribbling.. off the ball movement adds to a team's creativity. When your strikers are immobile trees the team's creativity is low. Recall the Amauri days when we had DP, Neddy and Camo as our main creative outlets and compare the amounts of chances we used to create when Trezguet was playing in Amauri's position and you'll see what I am talking about. If llorente is better than Matri and co in off the ball movement, passing or dribbling then he did increase the team's creativity.

With or without llorente we never had problems creating chances in the past two seasons. we had problems finishing the chances we created. Lorrente and Tevez will probably fix that problem and add to our already creative team. The only team that outplayed us in two years is Bayern... one hell of a bayern munich that raped every team in its way.

you expect tevez to solve our forward problems by himself?

tevez-vuci
tevez-quag-
tevez-matri
tevez-giovinco

all of them are quite terrible partnerships.

the fatc is if marotta had not wasted 15m on ogbonna he would have been able to close the jovetic deal a long time ago.

then he also lets a forward like villa slip through for 5m.

you cant defend any of this. unbelievable
Villa wants to go to Atletico , he had offers with higher wages and higher transfer fee but he wants to go Atletico.
Ogbonna is requested by Conte, he wants him. I am sure Marotta can close the deal for Jovetic now it self with the sales we have made, but I guess they deem he no longer is necessary .

Off the ball movement is not creativity, I'm sorry but I have to disagree. Creativity is finding spaces for a killer pass where a normal player couldn't, or do a crazy dribble that no one expected but somehow works, or a simple feint to throw off the opponent before unleashing a strike. That's what a creative player does, something that cannot be simply acquired by the gym.

Off the ball movement is being aware of tactics and smart about positioning of you in relation to your team and the opponent. However, against a parked bus, off the ball movement won't do much against unlocking a defence. A creative forward might pull off something to unlock a defence and leave a defender or two in the dust.

Llorente is a very good striker, but while clinical he's not the most skilled of forwards. Other than Tevez none of our other forwards bring anything special in this department...well, Vucinic also on match days when he had a good breakfast and was coddled in the morning by three girls. So not too often. :)
