If anyone can't see the obvious quality in this player, I really don't know what to say. I just don't.

The possibilities of what Jovetic can do with THIS SQUAD are amazing. There is no one on this current roster than can do what he does, as consistently as he does, at this age. He is simply going to make everyone around him better. He is the player that will be capable of creating magic, of creating something form nothing, the true FANTASISTA that this team needs
Fucking spot on.

Now I'm not gonna read this thread for some time, I want this to be the last thing I read and not some bullshit.

close your eyes everybody and you'll see this...

Pirlo long ball, Llorente deflects it with his chest to JoJo who bangs it in mid air top corner. :tuttosport:

I would agree with you normally. But I'm upgrading my assessment of them and I'm basing it on nearly a season worth of performances where Ljalic just flat out performs better, plus he also like 15m or so cheaper.
Ljajic has scored something like 15 goals in 80 games or something and is the dude who's coach literally felt it necessary to assault him on live televesion, and you think we should sign him?

I feel too many people are discounting jovetic's season as a dip in performance or regression but dont consider the fact your first season back from a blown knee is essentially rehabbing that injury. Del Piero scored 12 goals when he came back from his knee injury so Jovetic's season shoudl be compared to something like that.
Similarly Ronaldo also scored 12 and Quagliarella scored..... 4.

What I can't wait to see is how he will show Vucinic what it means to work for the team. I can't wait to see him tracking back winning the ball back then forcing a counter attack he started AND finished.

That's why Conte loves him. He works and has talent to match his work ethic.

Mirko retains a starting spot and Pirlo is benched?
I don't know why people are trying to force Mirko into the lineup. If anyone needs "forced" into the lineup it should be Pogba IMO.

The number 10 means too much, when you look at the last three to have it (Platini, Baggio, Del Piero) for it to be retired. Just when you think that there would never be another player to replace the previous one, lo and behold, someone comes along
The days of players like them are probably over. I would rather give it to Pogba than Jovetic tbh.

    I forgot about Pirlo. :scared:

I guess we could use something like that when Pirlo is exhausted.
    No, Joe.

    You play Pogba

I think that his key component in his game, aside from the fact that he is a 12-13 goal scorer whilst not always playing in his preferred position, is #1) His vision #2) the fact that he doesn't have a weak foot.

What his vision and anticipation does, is that it forces the opposition to draw to him, and not just in one-on-one coverage either. It forces defenses to shift to him. If you look at the past couple of seasons, you'll notice that what he does, when he draws such opposition to him, is that he is able to quickly and more often than not correctly place the ball to a teammate in a position where that teammates chances to score are exponentially higher.

The 2nd point of him not having a weak left foot is not just solely relegated to his ability to score with both feet. It has much more to do with the fact that because of this, he is a nightmare to gameplan for. You can't, as an opposing coach, just say to your squad "Keep jovetic to his left, and he will be negated". Doesn't work that way. His ability to use both of his feet on both sides of the pitch, on the ability to turn towards goal and place an accurate shot using either foot, is instrumental.

And as far as the complaint that he doesn't score enough goals to warrant that price, think about this for a second.

This Juve model is not based on the individual, but on a combination of players working in unison, with cutting, running, anticipation, and a variety of players scoring goals. Let's keep in mind that players such as Vidal and Marchisio don't score goals solely on the premise that no one else can, but it's because the have that ability, along with Pogba to be able to score goals from the midfield position. This squad is not based solely on the individual, but the team. This is where the impact of a Jovetic, in my opinion, will be felt the most.
