We don't have many options left. Isla and Cassani would be more expensive and they are not a class above Lichtsteiner.

Clichy may not be an amazing left back but he's surely one of the best options available and he's miles ahead of freaking Ziegler, Grosso and De Ceglie.

Who would you perfer? Tremoulinas? I don't think he's as great as some make him out to be, nor I think he's worth 13mln

To sum it up, there aren't many options for a LB and Clichy would be a good investment and I'm sure he'd do fine here. For 8mln there's no better option and for that price he'd be a good purchase.

As for Beck, I won't buy it. People were spitting on Taiwo even though nobody watches Marseille.
