Players like Sturaro remind me of players like Marchisio and Bonucci when the fans faith was somewhat skeptical. I remember before 4-5 years ago, a lot of people on this forum (me included) wanted to sell Bonucci as he made too many mistakes and we used to complain how Marchisio would go missing in many games. Not saying Sturaro will be like that but he is pretty solid and can be quite handy in front of goal. I wouldn't consider selling him unless we get more than 20m for him.

Then again, he could turn into another De Ceglie, Legrottaglie or Marrone. Time will tell.

I think he already surpassed those names...

Legrottaglie was a good useful starter for a while so defenitely not surpassed him. But De Ceglie and especially Marrone were completely useless.

i'm not even saying he shouldn't have picked Stu, he can be useful for sure, but there are so many other players (Immobile, Eder...) who could have been left in italy in favor of Jorginho...

Every player that he gave little to no time (Elia, Krasic, Isla, De Ceglie) turned out to be absolutely shit and never came good neither at Juve nor anywhere else.
Every cheap hardworking player that he used performed at 100% and gave us many important victories (Giacherini, Pepe, even estegbarria).

Its not like he ever chose Van Bommel over Pirlo.

You said its such a Conte thing to do and he does have a long record at Juve getting it right every time with his evaluation of players and how he could benefit from them and never chose workrate over technique without a good justification. Almost everyone thought Giovinco should start in our attack and it turned out we were wrong and every coach we had was right about the midget. You cant say that something is such a Mourinho thing to do when Mou never did it before in his career. It wouldnt stick as a Mou thing to do except if he has been doing it with great regularity over his career.

You should trust his selection more than you do given his record of utilizing average players to great effect.
He has plenty of experience getting the best out of the likes of Matri, Quags and Vucinic so I trust him to do the same with Pelle, Zaza and Immobile. He built the defense that Juve and now Italy enjoy. He got the best out of Pepe and Giacherrini countless times and took them to levels that no one else did. He saw Pogba as ready to take Marchisio's spot when many of us had doubts. Have some faith in the guy's ability he has definitely earned it. Don't let your hate get the better of your ability to give credit where its due.

Maybe he doesn't see Berardi offering him anything that Shaarawy and Insigne cannot. Maybe Jorginho (and the squad at large) is not good enough for us to adopt a possession based probing game and so he is opting instead for an aggressive high pressing game.

I do understand why Allegri chooses Mandzukic over Morata. Manzukic has so many great qualities that can complement dybala very well.

The midfield needed a brain and he said no to Pirlo's brain for Van Bommel's muscle. That was such a weird choice but I am very happy them made it or Juve would have never made it back the way we did.

You haven't followed Serie A back then, have you?

Pirlo was injured for several months, so Van Bommel took his place. By the time Pirlo got back, Milan were on their way to the title and he'd be a damn idiot to change the selection that brought them there. In addition to that Pirlo was about to agree terms with Juve, so no incentive to play him and he didn't give shit anymore for them either. Read his book, Pirlo wanted to leave Milan for years.
