It all started when he was at Ascoli and transferred to Bari in this winter mercato. He was free to sign a pre-contract with any club in January because his contract runs out this summer. The speculation is that Juve were behind the move to Bari to help their ex-player Antonio Conte. IMO he should already have found a club for next season. Because he didn't sign for another club apart from Juve that leads me to believe that a) He's waiting for the highest bidder b) He's waiting to see if the club will play in Europe and get a starting spot or c) an arrangement was made with Juve during the move to Bari.
