hehe I don't see the thing about this rumour.. It's a Inter fan on j1897 who says that Stankovic will move to Juve for 9.2 million euros. Wtf .. Who is he to know something about that especially in the middle of the night.. He must be drunk
What I'm saying is, maybe he is better than Marchionni and co., but if we are looking to improve our team, we should do that with quality players. Right now, it looks like we are replacing deadweight with deadweight. Expensive deadweight.

Funny thing is, everyone wants experienced players while at the same time wants quality. Okay, fine. But put the two together and then we have a transfer fee sky high, which is what people don't like to see. We already have our sights set on Xabi who will do wonders for our midfield and attack, so we need to use our capital for him. We need a quality left-back, so we need to use some capital for that guy. It's not like we have enough money to buy everyone's favorite overrated player Aquilani, so that's out the window. What we do need however is someone such as Stankovic who is pretty good at a bunch of positions, because guaranteed he's better on the wings than the backups we have now. That's all the matters.

To be honest I would be glad to have a player of his quality in the squad if it doesn't mean losing out on Alonso. Imagine Nedved or Camo injured right before a big CL game. I'd rather have Stankovic filling in then Marchionni and Sali. And imagine Giovinco failing to make an impact, we'd be screwed if one of the first team midfielders gets injured or booked.

Stankovic is experienced yes, but that is not the only characteristic we nedd in our signings. We have, Buffon, DP, Camo, Nedved, Trez wit experience. Our signings must have some quality. I'm not expecting Diego or VdV, but I don't want the Niko Kovacs either. The rumoured asking price is way too much for him anyway, especially for a player that inter supposedly are trying very hard to offload.

We don't have the problem/ luxury of many young talents, so instead of investing (wasting) on an old, washed up player who likely would not be too happy on the bench, we can get some hot Italien, or Argie, whatever to be on our bench.

I could have sworn you were one of the many who didn't want to take a chance on young starlets like Piatti, but maybe I'm mistaken. Too many people were saying all we need is experience right now and it pissed me the hell off. We already have enough experience in my view, except for at the back.

Either way, it doesnt matter, its obvious we have signed this mofo (convenient praisings of coach and players, just like the Amauri signing), hopefully he will prove to be some use and not be utterly useless as I seen him in Inter (I have at times been shocked why he is, despite watching their games as a neutral, I was frustrated as his pathetic performance almost like I was a fan...cant imagine how that will bode in our colours). Ranieri said Stankovic is useful because of the roles he plays so he could be used in a number of places so he will get alot of games but I doubt Ranieri would bench Giovinco or Nedved if he could play Stank in another role.

The guy had a very bad half season. It's 4 months actually. He suffered an injury (i believe the first one in his career that kept him out for more than a month) and he simply couldn't make a good comeback. He was bad.
But why does everyone say that he's an awful player is really beyond me ?
The guy was a star everywhere he played. He was an integral part of Lazio's all time best team. He was a starter in Inter's best team in the last 20 years. If you guys mention the awful 4 months he had last year why don't you also mention his terrific season before that ? His price was easily 20m eur only 18 months ago.
He's been playing with great succes in serie A for 10 years already, he was winning with both Inter and Lazio. He won 3 scudetti (no, i'm not counting the one they stole from us), 4 coppa italia, 4 super coppa italia, uefa cup, cup winners cup, european super cup and he was always one of the best (except last season).
And the guy is not 30 yet.
78 matches in European cups (64 in CL) and 17 goals there (8 in CL), versatile and runs for 3 players.

I'm tired of these fucking retarded loan deals. Stupid Stendardo, whom most of us knew was utter fecal matter, was signed like a damn squatting duck on pond flooded with crude oil. He blows. Most of us haven't even paid attention to Knezevic, nobody else wanted him, I've seen him enough to know that he will add ZERO QUALITY to this team, yet we screw around like a bunch of dolts wasting time signing him on loan then having to deal with shipping him off again once we finally figure out he isn't that good (if he even plays). These sort of stupid deals just piss me off.
