Docklands Stadium (Etihad Stadium), Melbourne - AFL ground - 55,000 Capacity

I watched Juventus play here. Hands down best place I've ever watched sport from! Also been here for AFL and concerts

Sydney football Stadium (Aussie Stadium), Sydney - Rugby League Ground - 45,000 Capacity

I went here to watch the boxing. 5th row for the Mundine v Green fight. Was an incredible night!

Villa park a few times, my family were box holders at 'The Valley' until charlton spent two seasons in the championship and now they are in league 1 and charging more or less the same rates. (my no 1 team was charlton - (locals) and after it became impossible to watch them and watch them play any interesting games i switched to my no 2 team - juve, but for the majority of my living memory i have been a juve fan so they are my no 1 and charlrton are a distant memory). I've been been in crystal palace's stadium a few times, millenium stadium, wembley...probably some more.

Off to Stamford Bridge again at the end of this month, nice and all as that is, it'll mean I've seen Chelsea play live as many times as I've seen Juve

In the last 20 years many stadiums around Europe have been modernized and new laws have been passed leading to very different outcomes with regards to support. In Italy we have the tessera and banned away trips, in England we are forced to sit down on our seats and in Germany we have packed, safe stadiums, which have often lost the character of the old grounds we loved so much. I'm really curious to see how all this develops and as long as I can, I will visit as many concrete bowls as I can .

Watching football in Scotland is shit, even aside from the standard of the football.

Stewards and the police act like arseholes and you can't even get alcohol in the stadium (due to the Old Firm rioting at the 1980 Cup Final). In fact, strictly speaking, you are not allowed to drink when travelling to football in Scotland.

So, even when there is the tessera and Italian football is not in a particularly good place, going to stand in either curva in Rome seems like heaven.

I'm away to experience first hand the whole new stadium thing. Aberdeen are due to be leaving Pittodrie - where I have been going since I was five years old, with its mismatched stands, two of which have barely changed in 30+ years and the Main Stand is older than that (even though it had to be partially rebuilt after a fire 40 years ago - and moving to a stadium on the south side of the city.

I don't like the move, but it's necessary because the old ground is falling apart and costing ever more to keep up to standard.

I feel sorry for you, getting accustomed to a new homeground is not an easy thing to do, especially in times when most stadiums look the same. For Juve supporters it is something different, since they never had a real home (the old Communale maybe and even that one they had to share). I feel really lucky - my club spent a shitload of money only to abolish the athletic track and even kept the old floodlights everyone loves so much.

It was more beautiful before, but they maintained the stadium's character and improved the atmosphere. Plus, it's location close to the city center at the river is almost unique in a German city of that size.

Yeah, Werder Bremen seem to have made a good job of modernising their stadium.

The location thing is probably what bothers me most about Aberdeen's stadium move.

Just now, we are a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre.

The new ground will be located by a suburb a little to the south of the city; certainly not within walking range of the city centre.

If only the club had shown the foresight to buy some land around the current stadium years ago this move could have been avoided. Now Pittodrie is boxed in by blocks of flats, so there is not space for redevelopment, making the move inevitable.
