My personal favourite after Del Piero is Zambrotta.
If I'm not mistaken he was also the captain during the JUVE - ROMA game
when DP got injured.

For my part it's important that the JUVE captain is a player that has been
proving himself as a BIANCONERO for at least 3 seasons! It shouldn't be
possible to become a representative for JUVE as a (C) if he has just joined! No matter if their name is i.e. Cannavaro, Maldini or J. Zanetti...

Totally agree with Juventino!, Zambrotta is the natural captain after Del Piero. Zambrotta has been at the club since 1999 too.

I think as long as Del Piero is a semi-regular, he ought to be captian. As Martin points out, there isn't a reall good choice other then him at the moment.

Goalkeepers already do their fair share of leading and organising from between the sticks so I'd prefer an outfield player to Buffon. Alot of the guys in the first team have what it takes to be captain imo but I don't see why DP should lose the armband.

btw, i think if zlatan plays well and scores a lot, it could very well be trezeguet who is sacrficed. having a del piero -zlatan partnership when both in form and are scoring would be simply awesome.

First of all, lets hope Alex finds his form, stays injury free, and the question, I try to answere, has no actuallity this season.

If we has to choose a new captain, than my vote is on:

Buffon
Zamb
Ned


all three deserves it, and all three would be a great captain.

Juve didn't sell Di Vaio and Miccoli to make DP set on the bench

If it is a speculation i think Zambrotta is the best choice
