whats the point of doing your masters in the same field that you already did your bachelors in?
and why would you advise anyone to stay away from IT? IT is the backbone of modern business and (actually it already is) will be the driving force behind every conceivable industry from health care to marketing to procurement.
This way he'll be a manager faster than if he only has BS,
As for IT, I am an IT graduate. IT is a good major in the long run given that you always keep up with new courses and platforms, but when u're a fresh graduate u'll be robbed
finance along with accounting gives you an unparallel understanding of business. But i was offered a lot of auditing jobs out of school i couldnt bring myself to do that shit.
Three of my DC/B-more buddies do that for the DOD or in the private sector. They make bank like Burke nails skainks. Whenever I visit they refuse to let me pay.

Well the only way I would consider an MBA, would be if I decided to pursue the business end of my Resource Management degree. If I did that, Marketing would probably be the best fit.
Maketing needs some art which I lack, so I didn't major in it. It is so interesting for those who have a nice charisma that may enable them to do their job much easier than others.

You just have to know your product and know what people like/want to see. That's why I loved the first few seasons of the Apprentice because that's basically where the teams fucked up all the time, in marketing.
and for young recent grads (such as myself and my peers) marketing can quickly take a bad turn and you will end up in tele marketing or some other bull shit position which will leave you in a futile situation. you want to quit to get another job in a real marketing environment/fold but, you can't quit cuz you need some experience on your resume to get that next gig.
marketing along with all fields is a double edged sword
