Would you do your Bachelors and Masters with the exact same specialization,or would you pick different specilizations for both?

Ive recently completed my Bachelors in HRM,id be picking my Master's specilization next year.Im pretty sure that i wont be doing my Masters in HRM too.Id probably go for one of :

a)Finance
b)Finance and Banking
c)Marketing
d)Double Major in Finance and Marketing


Id probably go for Finance.Ive still got another year to go before i pick my specialization,but anyway..what would you people do?Pick the same specizliation for your Bachelors and Masters?Or pick two different ones?


PS.Does anyone know if a double major is a good option?Ive heard that good companies can give you shit for being the jack of all trades and master of none if you go for a double major.Dont know if its true though.

Double major isn't a bad option...but I wouldn't go for it personally.

I don't know if Finance and marketing go along well with one another.

Perhaps go along with Finance and specialize in options trading or something.

Never heard of that one to be honest.

For your question, I'm currently studying Management as a major, and if i decide to go for a Masters degree, i'm going to go for a Management major too.

honestly if i were you i would try to get something more technical in your background.

for my undergrad i did business/MIS with a concentration in systems development. this gave me the business/management generic junk i needed and with the MIS concentration gave me my background for what my career is platformed upon.

diversity is key in your education, so i would suggest to do finance or something IT-centric if possible. companies look for people who can play on both sides with multiple facets to their knowledge/skill sets.

the only thing with CS as a masters is that you really do need that base as an undergrad. otherwise i doutbt they would even accept you into the program. i don't know how the system in pakistan works but i would assume that they do have some kind of IT based masters program for non-technical background ppl

whats the point of doing your masters in the same field that you already did your bachelors in?

and why would you advise anyone to stay away from IT? IT is the backbone of modern business and (actually it already is) will be the driving force behind every conceivable industry from health care to marketing to procurement.
