that what i thought but i know you cannot use any electronic equipment when taking off or landing but you are allowed to use an mp3 player etc during the flight but dunno about the wireless internet.

well he's using the internet so its probably allowed to do that. though he havent posted after that so the plane could've crashed by now.

    lol guys.. come on.. I had to switch off because of landing
    now I am at the lounge waiting for my connection flight..
    I am now at Frankfort, and going to Toronto.

    Whoa so what air carrier is it? Lufthansa? A couple of months ago I heard that they were the only ones offering wireless internet but maybe thats changed lately

    yea i think lufthansa does it. im flying united today to london but i dont have a laptop :( instead i have a hell of a lot of homework

    Sounds realistic. Lufthansa is now also the only airline in the world who allows you to use your mobile phone on board because the intereference myth is exactly that, a myth.

    I personally don't like that development though. Imagine, you're stuck on a stupid Airbus A319, crammed in a seat between a lady with her crying kid and a businessman and the latter insists on using his cellphone the entire flight.

    Ugh yeah and itd be noisy all the time

    Same with laptops in coach, they take up a lot of space and you gotta have the table open etc, so if someone wants to get up and go to the restroom you have to close the computer, then close the table, then stand up :dontcare:
