Defense+counter attack is the only way to stand a chance against Barca. Attacking them is a suicide. Whoever thinks the opposite is a football ignoramus.

Well, it sure won't work if you and I are the defenders. Of course you need to have good midfield, defense and fast players to do it. If you don't have good defense then you'll lose anyway, no matter if you attack them or defend. But even if you have good defense and excellent team, you'll probably be destroyed if you open up and attack them. See what happened to Mourinho's Real at Camp Nou when he wanted to play their game and started with an attacking 4-2-3-1.

After conceding 5 goals in the first match his tactics has worked well. No conceding should be considered an achievement. Sitting back and and counter attack his only possible way to get something out of this match
