I always found Real much more likeable than Barcelona.
Then again, it's not Barca who had Šuker and Zidane so that might be the reason i like Real much more than Barcelona.

It probably is. I for one, as a supporter of the beautiful game, find it extremely difficult not to admire their philosophy. If there was any club i wished Arsenal would be like, it would definitely be Barcelona.

It's all cyclical with the top teams. They will have periods of greatness and periods where they can barely compete with other big sides.

At the moment, I can't deny Barcelona's greatness. They are probably the best team in the world together with Man Utd. I give credit where it is due. I don't feel so charmed by their football though. Real Madrid don't play such boring football, they are keeping it simple and I like that.
