Sorry it's taken me to long to reply Fred -
Yes you may call me biased on the subject and at times having such outlandish views and weird favourite players but on this issue, there is some weight to my argument which will further be proved next year in Europe, that we have the one of if not the best midfield in Europe.
I'm not going to do strengths and weaknesses of either set of midfield 3's.
However player for player in a 3 man midfield, Juventus have a more talented and versatile three.
We have the best DM in Europe in Arturo Vidal and who is on another planet to Busquet's who is vastly overrated and to non Barca fans most neutrals who have watched both players it's clear who is the bigger talent and the more complete player.
Pirlo vs Xavi - Pirlo has always been the better player, even in his Milan days.
Marchsio vs Iniesta - Yes of course Iniesta is a better player but you talk as if it's night and day which it isn't Marchisio last year had a better season than Iniesta, Marchisio without doubt has developed into a top class CM.
I think alot of pundits will be surprised by us in Europe and the talent this squad now has and the potential with the right attacking signings to be the best team in Europe.
Bring on Europe I say because we'll do very well and people will stand up and notice life outside Spain and England.
I bolded the parts I agree with.
I defended Busquets and said he was underrated, and not given as much credit as he deserves. I think he does a vital job for both club and country, and I think he does not look out of place playing for either one of them. That being said, Vidal is the more complete player, he's more dynamic and has more variety to his game than Busquets, i'd definitely not even contemplate swapping Vidal for Busquets from a Juventus point of view.
I do think that Juve's midfield was one of the best in Europe too. It does them a huge injustice comparing them to Barca's midfield, just because the latter has insane quality. Not taking anything away from Juve's midfield at all though. You could make a compelling argument for Juve's midfield being in the top 3 in Europe last season for sure.
I don't agree about Pirlo being better than Xavi, but Pirlo is a world class player in his own right, so I wouldn't consider that such an outlandish statement to be honest. The two are definitely comparable.
As for "player for player Juve's midfield has more talent and versatility"
Thats a ridiculous statemnt, and one that you cannot back up at all. Barca's midfield has dominated Europe for half a decade now, they've ran big teams like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Man United and AC Milan ragged over the years, most of those teams have been absolutely teared to shreds by Barca's midfield. Juve's midfield isn't even close to having the ability to do that. Its laughable even comparing them. The two midfields are not even in the same league imo.
