Messi looks extremely good in the Current Barca team, because this is IMO the best barca team perhaps "ever".

Messi would still look really good in other teams that he'd play for, people tend to forget that the guy won the golden medal with the NT in the olympics. And he was by far the best player in that tournament.

guess all the hype around Messi right now is what gets some people to hate him.....

I didn't stutter, you read clearly what i posted. Messi won't have players mopping up his mistakes like Xavi does, Messi will be double, even triple marked in a more defense minded league. Messi wouldn't have half the space he's afforded in another team. You're trying to tell me that he would be a guaranteed instant success for any team he joins in the future?

He certainly won't come close to the sort of performance he's bringing in for barca, week in & out for another team.
MAybe, but he's still the best in the world (and if you want to say 2nd best, fine) and will continue to be the best in whatever league he goes (even if it may be a lesser best than what we see now). Because if Di Natale, Cavani, Zlatan, Rooney, Van Persie and Suarez can destroy their leagues, he most certainly can because... he is better than them by a distance.

Are you stating this as a fact or your opinion? Ronaldinho was the best player in the world at barca & totally flopped at milan, sure he put in some good performances for them but they were erratic. Everybody labels him the best player in the world because of the amount of goals he scores & how he beats his man. If he joins another team, he's gonna be held to the same standard that he brings to barca & that is where he'll be exposed.

That's a shitty tournament. He totally disappeared in more important, more competitive and more prestigious tournaments with his NT.

No, not a fact but it's reasonable to believe that he is more likely to succeed than "He certainly won't come close to the sort of performance he's bringing in for barca, week in & out for another team". Certainly, Xavi, Iniesta and the Barca system contribute majorly to his success, but you can't take away that as an individual player, he is the most (or 2nd) talented.

Btw, Dinho only flopped by the standards we hold him by, but if he went to Milan as an unkown, he would've been seen as a success.

You said totally flop, totally flop, so yes I read you clearly, question is if you did, unless totally flop = Not having the same great set up as the best team in the world now? And the more defensive leagues part, I guess you mean EPL (because Serie A even more tactical, really lacks real top quality defending), same EPL which top teams he has faced in CL year in year out and performed more then well enough against. But hey, he hasnt faced Stoke yet :D

I would never belittle the fact of playing with players the caliber of Xavi and a great team in general, but who is the best player in Barca? Messi, and what makes them great is specifically someone that brings the quality like Messi does. But somehow someone who assists the most, scores the most, performs in the biggiest matches, is made out to be someone who is simply coasting on the success of his teammates. Its really beyond insane to read. One thing to say Ronaldo is better or whatever, another thing to say "he would totally flop in other teams, even quality ones". Then harp on who his success rides on Xavi and et al, never acknowledging the reverse is even possible (I mean, he is just a 24 year old who has already scored 200 goals for Barca, thats nothing).

I mean I 100% get it if it was about proving more in NT footie, but club level, basically doesnt get better then what he does. Ridicolous to seriously belittle that acheivement in his relatively young career so far.

I don't get all the hate Messi gets. He's a great player and he's also humble and seems to be a good person.

I bet most people here would fap to death and would shut up if he was playing for us. I hate Barcelona as much as the next guy but let's not be blinded by hatred of Barcelona, Messi is a great player and doesn't deserve all the hate.

The same Ronaldinho who was mediocre/totally washed up for Barca in his pretty much last two seasons, OFCOURSE he wont be the player he used to be for Milan, when he wasnt even that for Barca when he left. And he was still pretty damn good for Milan, despite being lazy bum who could barely run 5 meters. Coming with this example is like comparing the Vieri of Inter to the Vieri of Fiorentina.

Playing for Barca earns him that hate.
