Beckham's sending off was rather ridiculous. He told the ref something, clapped sarcastically and got two yellows :undecide:

What is on with players clapping their hands on referees these days?
yeah, but IMO it is a joke, because this is not a unsportive behaiveur. I mean the ref may be personly angry but a player should not be yellow carded again because of that. In rooney´s case it was differet because he did that in a very stupid way just under the eyes of the ref. but the case of beckham was not so dramatic.

After I seen the highlights, Becks clapped due to dissent and unfortunately the referee spotted it as unsporting behaviour and sent him off.

I don't think that Beckham should have been sent off. As you said, the Rooney situation was completely different. He received a yellow for a foul and then clapped right in the referee's face. Becks got a yellow for dissent and then a second for clapping sarcastically, but he wasn't up in the ref's face a la Rooney, he was walking away from him. IMO Beckham's sending off was harsh and I'm not so sure that I would've given Gravesen a straight red either. He wasn't the last defender and it wasn't a dangerous injury-threatening tackle, merely a late one.

Beckham demands £40M to stay with Real Madrid
tribalfootball.com - October 17, 2005

Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham wants a mega £10 million-a-year over four years to re-sign with the club.
The News of the World says the England captain is set to begin talks over a new deal and wants to double his £5.5m-a-year wages. At £10m a year, Real will have to pay the world's highest wages to keep hold of the player.

But even that stunning sum represents only a fraction of what Beckham brings to the club - modest estimates indicate that figure is at least £50m a year.

he is not worth 1 ml
He is TBH....

Not just that but he set up Sevilla's first goal with a lovely backheel. I really don't understand why the management at Juventus deem him not good enough yet they're willing to keep the likes of Giannichedda, Blasi and Olivera around.
Enzo is better than the 3 you mentioned there.

Yes, much better. During the period that Vieira was out injured we could have really used someone like Maresca with his vision and passing skills to keep the attacks ticking over and the ball moving around quickly. Emerson can handle most of the defensive duties on his own, afterall, Giannichedda doesn't exactly contribute a great deal.

Too bad no1 sees it except us.
Fiorentina and Sevilla see it and the former got a fine season out of Enzo last year and the Spanish side are getting that now.

Exactly. Maresca would actually add something new to the midfield and his skills are similar to Vieira's when the ball is at his feet. Giannichedda really just takes up space in the center of the pitch and seemingly hinders us going forward...but stupid Capello rather field him than a player who actually has skills. Fvcking dumb.
