Who's to say Huntelaar is alot better than Palladino/Bojinov? Send Palladino/Bojinov to Holland and they would do well also.

My point is, with 2 very promosing youngsters in the squad, both of which were made in Italy, unlike Huntelaar, its not very smart business to go an pay what would surely be a huge sum to got Huntelaar.

If Trez is sold u replace him with another experienced striker like Klose, not Huntelaar. I like Huntelaar, and if we didn't already have Palladino and Bojinov, I would certainly want him. His transfer fee would be at lest 10 million pounds. Alot of money for some1 who is only 1 yr older than Palladino, and arguably not that much better.

To those arguing performing well in the Dutch league doesn't prove anything, I'd like to point out Huntelaar was very important for the Dutch U-21 team that became European Champions last summer. He has also scored and done well in just about any European game he has ever played in.

sighs.... we dont need to crawl teammates we all want what is best for the team i think selling trezgol is an option but we shouldn't he scores to easy. Palladino we can loan him out to get first team football i dont think he is completely ready. Del piero face it mates he is getting old and he does get injuried very easily. He isnt somebody that is going to explode players away, but technically very very sound, and has excellent first touch; a trait I always look for forward. I think the comparison with Mori was in this respect: Mori has deceptively quick feet, and his little drag backs around the penalty box is pretty proficient, a la Gila.

Shyne has a point though. As good as Huntelaar is, we need re-inforcement in other areas of the field. Huntelaar is well-sought after, and any team who earns his right will have to pay handsome sum (right so). I would like to see what Bojinov can offer before deciding my mind up - not that he is better but it makes more economic sense.

Zalayeta should leave. I would like to keep bojnov but he'll join another team IMO.

del piero and palladino as support striker options and Huntelaar and Klose as the main striker. that would be good. Good blend of youth and experience.

With a looming promotion it would be all to easy to splurge on the next big thing in an eager bid to return to the days of old, but forwards are hardly what we lack, and even with a Trezeguet sale this team could cope well enough without having to spend for reinforcement. On the other hand, the defence, traditionally our hallmark, is found wanting even in Serie B and almost certainly would leak goals against Serie A opposition. The midfield is grossly imbalanced with a plethora of work-your-socks-off destroyers (Nedved included) and is bereft of creativity. Until these gaps are filled considerations for attacking reinforcement are somewhat premature, and Trezeguet staying is still a concrete possibility, in which case the Huntelaar prospect would be a non-issue.

You do realise of course that Van der Vaart is injured most of the time? The past year he has even managed to statistically be injured for over 50% of all matches.
