Huntelaar or Gilardino or Klose for me. Keep 'The Freak' @ Liverpool, that just aint happening for me. Its a tough call, but Gila sounds appealing to me. Seeing as he's a Juve fan. Im always interested in strikers with pace. Gila has a bit of pace and all round game is generally good. Huntelaar in my eyes is still unproven. Klose is getting old and would we have time for him to settle? He will remind me of when Oliver Bierhoff went to Milan.

Again there's news we sent some people to watch The Hunter(not the MILF Hunter) but I still think he'll end up with Man Utd.

Agreed, Gilardino is the best bet at this point. Not that I think Trezeguet should leave...

Well when it concerns a Dutchman, the EPL is always a safe bet.

:disagree: i remember when he was still playing for Parma there was some talk that he might be coming to Juve but he clearly stated that he wants to go to Milan altough all of his family are Juventus fans.

Juventus in Huntelaar hunt
Friday 5 January, 2007

Juventus are monitoring the performances of Ajax ace Klaas Jan Huntelaar, agent Vincenzo Morabito has confirmed.

The Bianconeri are looking to strengthen their squad in view of their expected Serie A return and may need to replace David Trezeguet if the Frenchman were to leave Turin in June.

“Juventus are observing Huntelaar, although there has been no contact so far,” explained Morabito.

“He is one of the best strikers in Europe and can be considered as the new Ruud Van Nistelrooy,” continued the representative.

“I am sure he will leave Ajax sooner or later, but he is highly valued and we will have to see which club will be able to afford the fee needed to sign him.”

The Dutch international, 23, was signed by Ajax from Heerenveen for £6.4m and was the top scorer in the side which won last summer’s U-21 European Championship.

He was also the most lethal player in all the top European Divisions in the 2005-06 season, having netted 33 times.

Juventus have also been associated with 22-year-old Bordeaux midfielder Rio Mavuba, even if Morabito isn’t expecting the Old Lady to be that active on the foreign market.

“He is one of the most promising talents in the French championship, but Juventus are also very careful when it comes to the Italian scene,” he added.

“From what I know, both Andrea Barzagli of Palermo and Michele Canini of Cagliari could be part of the Bianconeri’s future plans.”

Juventus are being forced to build a competitive side in view of next season, as several key players – Gianluigi Buffon, Mauro Camoranesi and Trezeguet – have threatened to leave if they can’t fight for major honours.

my only concern regarding gilardino is that milan gets trez, and they are a rival.

benefits of trez leaving for spain:
1. he admires real madrid
2. Real have wo players who i think could be handy for the team. ROBINHO and CASSANO. Robinho could be great for us on the left side of the park. OR Cassano could be the playmaker in the whole behind the strikers. Im sure cassano i svery gettable as well...especially since milan are rumoured to bojinov and di vaio now.

As for the striker to replace trez...i wouldnt mind klose, who is trez's age anyway, i think maybe a lil younger, or huntelaar....im sure huntelaar would be a star. juve was once rumoured to van the man but he got injured and united picked him up a season later, look how great he was!

Bayern sweat over Sosa deal

The transfer of Argentinian midfielder Jose Ernesto Sosa to Bayern Munich is in danger of collapsing after a disagreement over wages.

The 21-year-old, who is currently with Estudiantes de la Plata, is reported to have pulled out of negotiations, unhappy at the wages offered by the German champions.

According to Argentinian daily "Diario Hoy", the player nicknamed 'the little Prince' refused to board his flight for Munich, where he was to be accompanied by two Estadiantes officials for a medical, instead demanding Munich up their offer of a five-year contract worth 3.5 million dollars to 4.5 million dollars.

Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer was immediately informed of Sosa's demands, and angrily rejected them.

Club officials then cancelled the flight, unwilling to send a party out to Munich in case Sosa should flatly refuse to sign.

Rumous are now abound that Valencia could gazump Bayern, offering him a more lucrative deal, while Juventus, Atletico Madrid, PSV Eindhoven and Milan have also been linked with bids to hijack the Bayern deal.

I wouldn't trade Trezeguet now. He said that he will stay and he is very good for our team. I do however, wish Cassano to Juventus. That would be a great player to pick up. But, with the little experience Deschamps has as a manager, could wield trouble. Cassano is an amazing player who just needs playing time, or someone to share playing time with.
