so the fact is that for pepe we spent less than we earned from molinaro's transfer. so the transfer budget of the summer is still there. nice work for a not so good transfer...

WE CAN SEND HIM BACK?! :weee:

In all seriousness, that's a better deal than being 'stuck' with him as nobody really knows how he'll do. In a year where we're trying to rebuild our beloved Juve we also need depth, so we don't have to field the likes of Brazzo or PDC on the wings when ( god forbid ) an injury crisis were to hit. It's probably wishful thinking.. but meh.

I can't say I mind all that much, though I'll sleep better when I know Krasic is officially announced and we buy a winger for the left, or when Del Neri comes out and says Giovinco will be part of the new team.

Either way, Welcome Simone.

I wonder - when this thread was in transfer romours more comments was negative, and since he is finally join us and was presented as juve player more and more comments become positive :D nice job guys :D
The first rumours were a fixed deal of 10million spread over a couple of years.
The deal now is 2.5 for a one year loan.
In this year we can see if he can make that step forwards to be a good player for us, if not, we can sent him back.
If so, we pay 7.5 million spread over another few years.
I think people here are very pleased with the way this deal has been setup.

it sounds great, that we can decide next season if we really want to keep him and this loan fee of 2.6m (+ the wages if we have to pay it) seems some good temporary deal which will let us negotiate calmly (knowing we already have a backup winger) and makes the other clubs think that we do not necessarily buy their wingers because we already got one ... so hopefully they wont rape us

On balance a very good transfer by Marotta and co.

For what Pepe is and for what our squad needs, the manner of the transfer is both highly beneficial and financially prudent.

Welcome Pepe, fuck the haters, do your best this year and then back you go.

Very good deal.

Somehow I think I will have less headaches next season knowing that at least if a winger is injured/suspended, there won't be Brazzo or Marchisio acting as a winger to replace him, but a decent fast winger who at least gives his all.

If not up to the task, send him back from where he came from.

Easy guys, Blanc and Agnelli said we have a lot of money and we're building a team to go back to the top. So I refuse to believe that this guy will be a starter for us next season.

Every player we sign should be good enough to make some form of impact, otherwise we might as well just put Primavera players in as backup.
