PEPE: "What a dream!"
"Within a month I realized two dreams: to play the World Cup and get a great team. Juventus is the most prestigious companies in Italy, his history speaks for itself. Now we will write new pages.... "

Not a bad deal, all things considered. His market value was worth around 10 million anyway. Personally, I would rather see more deals like this. If it doesn't work out, then it was only 2.5 million spent. Not quite sure where you would find a relatively young winger of his caliber for that price in the first place.

:disagree:
So, we're paying 2.5 million for a one year loan?
Only if we are not keeping him, otherwise the loan is just an installment of the transfer fee.

Think if it insurance against paying 7,5 million + wages for a flop . This is very clever . And it does not really affect the transfer budget this year, where we need a bunch of new faces. :hellyes:

No way! We shouldn't pay 10m for this guy at all, he's very average.

Oh wait, we're paying 10m over a few seasons? Then it must be a genius move!

2.5 million for a year long loan of a player in his best years just about to play for Italy in the World Cup, playing in two positions in which we desperately need depth and pace?

Yes, thank you.

It's only a loan deal dude with the option to buy, thats why I'm not so hung up about it than before.

I didn't say he was young, I said he was relatively young. Big difference there, and I thought you were smarter than that.
I'd say relatively young would be in the area of 23. Above 25 it's hard to use young in the same sentence, in football that is. In hockey it's a different story. But yeah, I guess I'm not smarter than that.
