Barzagli was injured a bit last year and I lost Chiellini for 3 months, so Criscito played DL in Chiellini's absence and I was able to get Sakho into 31 matches. But now with Chiellini back I need to make some room. Sakho, Criscito and Vidal can all play DL as well, but Criscito might be the best there of the three.

I could keep them all, I have plenty of cash, but I dont want to shortchange these guys who have played so well for me.

So I don't want any of them wasting away on the bench.

I can't sell him. He is valued at $25m, I offer him to clubs and put him on the transfer list, but no one puts in an offer for him. His stats are great, he's one of the best CB's in teh league.

He didn't want to go, so I removed himn from the list and gave up.

BUt any advice on how to sell guys effectively without pissing them off and losing money?

Well, since you offered and no one bit, you've already upset the squad.

Go take over Chelsea or Barca or someone with a lot of money and buy him for that team at 40M.

I'm a fan of this game since Championship Manager 3, but after I saw the 3D match I was really disgusted I don't know why. FM09 is only one of FM series I'm not addicted to.

you can turn the 3d engine off, thats what i do

Only 2D for me too, maybe in FM11 or 12 there will be a good enough 3D, because I dont think that in next version it will be much better.

i just think the 3d match engine detracts from the fooball manager way. The reason FM was always the best was because it didnt try to overcomplicate silly details like the match engine and focussed on what mattered. Games like Premier manager and those type focussed more on the 3d engines and gameplay suffered. You can tell perfectly well what is going on in the game from a 2d engine, so why change things?!

so i reached a record of 112 run of unbeaten games and then fucking udinese beat me and they also beat me in the champ league their generated players are too good ... but forutnately for me their cheap, so yeah i bought them all and sold de cegile and giuseppe rossi and gago ... now my squad is awesome! (AGAIN), and i won the confederations cup with italy ... toped the mangers in italy, and third worldwide behind sir alex and trappatoni ... but it wont be too long before i win the world cup and 7 other champ leagues

edit: Chiellini is injured right now, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew he was still on the team.

I just brought in Marcelo in the offseason and he is going to be the DL. I'm going to play Chiellini and Sakho as my main CB's with Barzagli and Criscito or Vidal in reserve. I'm going to sell either Criscito or Vidal in the January window. Chiellini has always been my DL before I brought in Marcelo.

BTW, I think Chiellini is way too fast in FM08, he's really perfect as a DL. For some reason I don't think his real life pace would translate to a 17 on a scale to 20.
