Yeah I'm playing Vela on the left wing so he's not scoring a massive amount of goals but he's playing well, when i took over arsenal in one of my old games vela was very inconsistant and would have significant goal droughts. I also regularly have the same problem with cassano, when i bouth him for juve he has scored 12 goals in 15 games for samp, he scored 3 goals with me for the rest of the season and none the following year, i just dont get it......

Aguero though is usually an assasin who cant stop scoring, i think he averages about 25-30 goals in 55 games for me normally, altohugh his first season was a bit slow because of adaptation.


The one player i always want who i have never managed is David Villa, no matter who i go valencia will never sell him to me - does anyone have any experience with him? His stats are just embarassing

Just do what i do: add another manager and manage the club in which the player you want is playing for. Then just make a bid for him, and accept the bid from the 2nd manager. Just set his transfer status to Not Needed by the Club, and insult him a little. That'll make him leave. This is best done during the transfer window though.

Also, can anyone suggest a good strategy to beat Barcelona? they play a 4-5-1 where the midfield is like a V(DM-2 CM-2 wingers)? I've played em twice, and cant figure out how to beat them!

force their wide players wide, mark the striker, close down everyone, even goalie. hard tackling on wingers, midfielders, defenders, and on striker if he's a big strong dude. they're definitely beatable, i've actually gotten lucky and knocked the out of the CL 4/4 times. always difficult though. Also, i would recommend trying to keep possession

I should also say it depends on how good your team is. My first team is just about as strong as Barca's, so I can afford to basically play my own game with slight modifications (since the do have messi after all) but if you have a weak team, then it's different.

Man i've tried all sorts of crazy formations! I even tried a 2-1-6-1 formation, which kinda looke dlike an airplane, and lost that! 3-5-2, 3-4-3, fuckin destroy mode also! i got 10 yellow cards and a red against me! I can still create another manager and take over barca and totally motherfuck them like i did with Arsenal, but i have a great squad, and i can beat em! just cant find teh right streategy!

Tore Reginiussen is a solid young Norwegian centre back. Got him for 1.5 M, perfect for a middle class club like Lille.

I started a game with FC Valenciennes(Ligue 1).I thought It would be a pain in the ass playing with them but I built a solid squad with the likes of Mirallas(loan),Gomis(loan),Piatti,Kjaer,Viviano,Witsel,Fellaini,Buonanotte,Coutadeur...etc...pretty sick for a small french club in the first season,eh?

I'm already bored after 3 months though.Ligue 1 is just not my cup of tea,I'll probably start a new game with an Italian club like Reggina or something.

That's crazy, I would love to help I can remember some of 09', but hardly any from 08 even though I did play it a lot a while ago.

Won the treble after FINALLY beating Barca. Used a straight 4-4-2 with the not-so-fit Giovinco, and won 2-0! Barca had just ONE shot in the first half, which was off target! and then rest of the game, they had 1 shot on target! Gio scored btw.

Who should I sell in 2012, FM08: Criscito / Barzagli or Vidal? Barzagli is the oldest, but he's my captain. They all list Juve as their fave teams so it's hard to ship away one of them.

I have to make room for Sakho as he is a beast now.
