A lot of good players play or the American team, but it's like the NBA and the Olympics. The cream doesn't come out to play. Though this team was solid in the field, but it put too much pressure on Peavy and Oswalt who had just started throwing in Spring Training and weren't ready to through 45 pitches let alone the 65 tourney limit. That and the bull pen for the US was really terrible after Nathan went home. The Middle Relief was terrible, especially going against the South American and Caribbean teams that have winter seasons.

Playing regularly in a competitive league at a professional level does way more to improve a player's game than the 3-5 international matches a year he may or may not play in playing for his National Team. You can't really tell me Rossi builds his quality coming off the bench against Latvia more than playing regularly at Villareal.

I did that about 7 times. Then they did a bid at the same time for Beck and Munez. I think the Gunners bid on Beck. I thought Munez would get the auto reject I set up, but the next day it said "Munez joins Madrid". And I was like fuck me cause I already saved. I didn't see it because it was right below Beck's Arsenal bid.
