The same thing happened to me. Apparently it has to do with a bug in serie c. Only way around it is to start over and dont load Serie c as playable, although there are still some ppl getting the error.

What's a centro?
In case you mean a central midfielder I can recommend Andrea Poli(19),just bought him and he looks pretty talented.Got him for 1.6 m € but I think I was lucky to get him at that price.
Juve just offered me 22m € for Paloschi and I rejected
.Reggina somehow got Zarate and I'll buy him once the fuckers get relegated.
My promoted Parma looks pretty badass on paper:

Here's what happened:
Parma are at 7th place March 2011, but I notice that the stadium's really small and I want to increase it. Board says no, so I make an ultimatum and I'm fired.
A week later, Juventus (13th place) hire me and I'm an instant success with my straight 4-4-2. The Juve starting XI only consists of players we actually own today:
Buffon
Grygera Criscito Chiellini De Ceglie
Camoranesi Marchisio Sissoko Giovinco
Amauri Trezeguet
This was the best lineup. All the new players were crap and I had little to no depth.
Still, I bring them to the CL quarterfinals (losing to Barca on aggregate) and 4th place in the league. 13 victories in 16 games. Summer comes and I start building the team up properly. Then a consortium takes over and I'm replaced by Hristo Stoitchkov.
So now I've went back to an earlier save (February 2011) to continue with Parma who are ninth. All the signings have been great this season bar Kerlon who cost 1m and was nothing more than a backup either way, and Ignashevich who's been disappointing (free transfer).
I bought Delpierre for 8m in the January window and he's been a rock so far alongside Troest.
No, I sold the whole package. He wasn't performing so it was decent enough money, considering Crisci's the same age and looking quite good.
It's the 13th of February 2011. No Serie C.

2) copy over the certificate to /Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Sports Interactive/football manager 2009 certificate/
and /Documents and Settings/your user/Application Data/Sports Interactive/football manager 2009 certificate/
3) copy over the exe to the install directory , if it asks to replace press yes.
4) activate with the key: ***see in howto.txt***
5) Block fm.exe with your firewall, so it can't connect to the internet (do this after you activated) => this is not necessary, just a precaution
