Apparently Gaetan Thomas Guzman is a better corner taker, crosser, passer and free-kick taker than Franck Ribery. They're on par in dribbling though.

Didn't we sell that guy about 3 years ago because he was one of the worst players to ever come through our youth ranks??!!

indeed that is what bothers me in this game, some players who are world class in real life are just average over here (Ribery, Diego, Silva...)
or is it more realistic then we think?
is it a bad omen?

Well its not all about stats, though i agree that, a lot of the players are have very wrong stats, but in your eg. Silva has world class stats (if its the one from valencia) Diego, his stats arent world class, but with his performence he can easily be a main guy in any team.

I bought Kerrison once and he failed to perform for me in Serie A so i had to sell him on

Never bough Barnetta - his stats dont look that good on my game, or is he one of those players that plays well despite having relitively low attributes e.g. giovinco

Barnetta is probably not good enough to be a starter winger for a top club, but he's more than good enough for Lille, and he can play on both sides. I'd consider him as a good sub for a top side.
Also, Skjelbred is a very good MC/AMC.

Is Forestieri still as good in FM09 as he was before? I'll get him on a free!

Signed nedved as my assistant manager. He is insane, a drow in away match against any rival makes him angry, and since i let my assistant do the talking, he never backs down before a game, and goes that we are gonna win no matter what opponent, loving this

We need somewhat like him at juve too, to go for a win once in a while

I am halfway through my second season and Santon is my TOP scorer/assists... He has taken over camo's spot and is giving my RB darijo srna a run for his money!!

I bought Benzema in my second for like 70mil and I'm not impressed with the way he's playing. Like Ribery, his attributes are not suited for a player of his skill.

The problem isn't finding someone better than him, that can be done with simple filtering of players, it's the HUGE oversight by the game developers who are simply put, idiots. This kind of thing ruins the game copletely for me, because it was meant to be a REALISTIC take on football. And when I see one of worlds best players is inferior to an Ashley Young, it makes me sick to my stomach.

I've been playing this game for a decade and always they were horribly biased towards English players. Idiots.


Well it's a dribble compilation, not passing. He was a ball hog lot of the time, but that's what made him who he was, kinda like C.Ronaldo or Ibrahimovic. He didn't lack the end product, be it a goal or an assist at the last moment, and that's what matters.

This is so true.
I remember when I played FM2007, England won the world cup 5 times in a row and the Euro Cup 4 times. After that I went on holiday during the national cups

I have Legro as a 5th centre back in case of injuries and Salih as a backup because he can play both sides well.


I sold Momo for 16 million euro to Tottenham. Marchisio won the starting place anyways and I wanted someone with better passing skills and got a chance to sign Miguel Veloso for a fair price - 20 mil €.


Gio is doing well, he's been my first choice left wing since the start of the game, in his first season he had 7 goals and 14 assists and in the second 8 goals and 8 assists but in less games.
